Having looked for accommodation in the centre of Boston and being frustrated at over the top prices for basic hotel rooms, my girlfriend and I decided to look into guesthouses hoping to stumble upon a gem. And stumble upon a gem we did. Veronas is in an excellent location and within walking distance of all the sites. It's not the...

We visited Boston for my husband to run the marathon. It was the perfect location to be for the Boston Marathon finish line. We'll definitely book it again when we come back to Boston. Jose, the host, was very attentive and accommodating.

This two-room apartment was one of the nicest vacation rentals I've stayed in while visiting Boston. The South End location is wonderful, with lots of restaurants quite close by, and a slightly longer walk to Whole Foods and other supermarkets. It's quiet, large and has a full kitchen, fully updated. While it has been listed as a bed and breakfast,...

I called to make a reservation and was told that Breakfast is no longer served. The website still says that breakfast is included. How can a B&B be one without breakfast!? I have yet to stay at 82 Chandler st. My reservation is in May.

It was great to come back and stay in this safe neighborhood. I was happy to see that 82 Chandler Bed and Breakfast (Verona's B&B) still at 82 Chandler Street. The best part of it was to see that the same owners are running the house. The change I've seen is that they are no longer serving breakfast, but there...

The best guest house in Boston. Quiet and lovely street. House and room were beautiful and clean. Bed was so comfortable. Jose is a most attentive host in charge at the house. We were so near everything. 1 block around the corner ant there is backBay station (orange). a couple of blocks further and we were at trinity church and...

I chose this B&B as I wanted to be near the bus pickup and the finish line for the marathon. It was ideal for that - so near the finish line I didn't even need to use the baggage drop facilities. The room was large, clean, and furnished with comfortable, traditional furniture. The bathroom was separate, but I knew that...

Located in a quiet and residential neighbourhood but just 10-20 minutes away by foot from Copley Square, Back Bay, Newbury, Boston Public Garden, etc. Jose was very nice, friendly, helpful and accommodating. Room was dated, but this is Boston so that's fairly common with brownstone homes. Can hear footsteps from upstairs but not very loud. Bathroom has a heater fan...

Note the name was still 82 Chandler Street as of October 2013! This B&B was perfectly adequate for my needs. The room was comfortable and clean; it featured a kitchenette - I didn't cook anything but was handy to have a fridge. The location was good - five minutes' walk from the T and felt safe enough. Ten minutes walk...

An average time at 82 Chandler Street. Very clean. Felt totally safe. Had a mini kitchen area. Loved the spacious room. Went in the summer, and it was nice to have a choice of open windows, ceiling fan (squeaky) or an air conditioner. Not as close to the T as I would have liked. When it says it is in...

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
