Stayed 3 nights at the John Jeffries House while visiting Boston and it's historic sites. Even though Boston is a very walkable city, this hotel is located across the street from the "red line" transit stop which can be taken inbound to South Station or...More
What a great find. Located in the beautiful Beaconhill area, Charles St around the corner, the T subway and a drugstore across the road.
Fabulously comfortable king bed and no road noise in the rooms.
Would highly recommend we loved our stay here.

All My Best,
This boutique hotel was perfect for what we wanted. A quiet stay in a wonderful old school Boston neighborhood, Beacon Hill. The hotel was very clean and well maintained by the staff. Our maid Luisa did a wonderful job for us. The front desk staff...More

Thank you for your review. I look forward to welcoming you back to the John Jeffries soon, thank you for staying with us.
The building was nice, and the room was great, but there is absolutely NO on site parking. Not even a place to pull up in order to check in and bring up your bags. You have to drive around (no signage) and find this little...More

Thank you for your review. I do apologize for our parking situation but being located in a residential part of Beacon Hill parking is very sparse. We do indeed have a place for guests to park (actually there are two spots) next to...More
We are staying at John Jeffries house now, post cruise. We stayed one night before our cruise also. If you want a nice, small hotel that has the real "feel" of old time Boston, this is your place. Curtis and Terry at the front desk...More

Visit this historic and ritzy Boston neighborhood to soak up its classic New England charm as you stroll down cobblestoned, gas-lamp lined streets. Bring your walking shoes, camera, and select a nice day to wander through the hilly neighborhood and check out its exclusive addresses. Louisburg Square, Mt. Vernon street, Chestnut street and the extremely narrow and widely photographed Acorn street make a nice walking
path. Make sure to meander down Charles street to poke into boutiques and antique shops, cafes, and restaurants on this quaint shopping street. Don’t forget to catch a glimpse up close of the State House with its beautiful and iconic dome.
