Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro is a small hotel in a charming neighborhood which offers a good breakfast menu and an interesting take on lodging. We visit Boston a few times each year and during our most recent stay we decided to try out Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro instead of our typical hotels in Cambridge. While we loved the...

This place was perfect for one night since we were out and about most of the time. The room was small but very clean and pretty quiet until the morning when some loading trucks were doing their jobs. Breakfast was included and it was very good. No coffee maker in room but Starbucks around the corner.

Having read some of the more negative reviews about the Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro, I must take exception; the place is really wonderful. For a city hotel, it is reasonably priced especially given the full breakfast menu, courtesy of the restaurant, included. The room we stayed in was somewhat small, but how long does one spend in a room?...

My mom came to visit me in Boston and we stayed at Beacon Hill Hotel. First off, it is in a great location right by Boston Common and the Public Garden. We had a very comfortable stay. Our room was perfect for the two of us. The service was excellent and the rooms were very clean. They also offer a...

We spent a week at this hotel whilst visiting Boston. It's big advantage has to be its location. The food is good and the portions ample. Breakfast is included in the rate and is popular.our room was on the small side with only a single wardrobe and with two large suitcases it felt a little cramped. We stayed on the...

Having researched the hotel and area of Beacon Hill for our stay in Boston as part of our much larger trip across the States, I knew the hotel would not disappoint. Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro is a charming, quirky boutique hotel in an excellent location - right around the block from the famous 'Cheers' bar which is a must!...

I stayed here with my mom recently and wasn't entirely sure what to expect. Living in Boston for about 4 years now, I haven't stayed at any hotels nor been really familiar with any. However, the location and looks of this one deemed for a promising stay...and I was right! The hotel room was just the right size for the...

I couldn't have asked for a better location in Boston to stay. Located in one of the most beautiful and historic parts of the city, Beacon Hill Hotel really delivered. It's close to the Boston Common, the T, and so many other great locations. They're staff are very friendly, courteous and very professional. My room was beautiful, clean, and had...

I can not think of a better location in Boston: park the car under the Common, red line and green line T-stations are just a couple of blocks away, and basically anything worth seeing -which is a lot- is within walking distance. The staff is informal, friendly and helpful. The bartender is way above peer average. The bistro is very...

Located on Charles Street in the historic Beacon Hill district, this hotel made our stay in Boston truly special. Our room was adjacent to the roof terrace, which I was initially concerned about, but there was no noise from other guests, and the views from the dual aspect room were absolutely spectacular (as was the room itself). Breakfasts downstairs in...

Staying in Beacon Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Beacon Hill
Visit this historic and ritzy Boston neighborhood to soak up its classic New England charm as you stroll down cobblestoned, gas-lamp lined streets. Bring your walking shoes, camera, and select a nice day to wander through the hilly neighborhood and check out its exclusive addresses. Louisburg Square, Mt. Vernon street, Chestnut street and the extremely narrow and widely photographed Acorn street make a nice walking path. Make sure to meander down Charles street to poke into boutiques and antique shops, cafes, and restaurants on this quaint shopping street. Don’t forget to catch a glimpse up close of the State House with its beautiful and iconic dome.
