We were in Boston with friends for a concert Sunday night and had booked a room at the Boston Ritz-Carleton. From the moment we arrived the hotel's staff performed beyond our expectations in every way. First engagement was with the valet parking attendant in front of the hotel. Very professional.... took care of us and the car quickly and all...

Carpets were in very poor shape and the furniture was blah. No free WiFi....you'd think they could comp WiFi when someone pays more the $500 a night for a room. Service was exceptional. Food was as well.

My room was ready for early checkin (before noon). Good location close to Boston Commons and in theater district. Impeccable service as I expected from staff. Short but pleasant stay for business trip so did not use all facilities such as spa, bar and restaurant. The best thing was hot coffee in lobby at 5am while waiting for airport transportation.

As expected when staying at a Ritz Carlton, it's pretty hard to fault. The room and bathroom were huge and nicely decorated. The lounge diwnstairs was a spectacular place to chill out, with complimentary hot chocolates and a roaring fire. The bar serves excellent cocktails and the adjoining restaurant was lovely for breakfast. Particular thanks to the people working on...

Incredible experience- if I'm back in Boston I know where I'm staying. Yes it isn't the fanciest of Ritz Carlton's - but the staff are utterly delightful. Not only is the service above and beyond - but they truly try to anticipate your every need and over-deliver. Service with style, and with a smile. Thank you so much for the...

I've never had a bad experience at any of the Ritz Carlton's I've stayed at but this was especially nice. Located near the Commons, this hotel provides a very upscale level of service. Our room on the 12th floor had a view of the Commons and was also near the Club. Although the Club is an extra charge, it is well worth it. It is staffed by two great young Concierges, Peter and Daniel, who provide for all your needs....

This is our 3rd time staying with RC in Boston and always an oasis of hospitality. The arrival process is seamless and the staff are always in the lobby to help with anything. Very close to Faneuil Hall Marketplace which was great for some early holiday shopping. We will see you in the spring!!!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
