Chose to stay here for the location and the complimentary light breakfast and wasn't disappointed. The room we stayed in was probably the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in but was on a base to explore the city for 3 days so fine. Accommodation in Boston is expensive! Room was clean, comfortable and had a great shower.

We were in Boston for vacation for 3 nights. We were able to walk to Fenway from this hotel (about a mile?) Service was very good. They said they would do something, and then they did it. Rooms were nice. No complaints by us. Reasonably priced for location. I did a lot of research and found that this hotel really...

The staff at the hotel were very frienldy. Also before we booked a room since we were in the city allready we asked staff if we would be able to see the rooms which they did show us.Glad we did so since a regular room is quit small not a lot of room to get around the bed area. The room...

The hotel is centrally located in Boston's back bay, right by the Boston Marathon's finish line. The hotel and rooms are nicely decorated and very well equipped. The room was small and unfortunately did not have a proper shade to block sunshine from coming in early in the morning (difficult when you are a tourist with a jet-lag and need...

Stayed at the Charlesmark Hotel for work, and it was super convenient as the T was right at the hotel. It was also located in the middle of everything which made it easy to get to food and shopping after work. Although the hotel is small, it was definitely good enough for 1 person. Check in was a breeze, room...

This is a youth hostel with the veneer of a boutique hotel. It is clean enough and centrally located but you pay way too much for these two basic features, especially when you consider the rest of the experience. The tiny bed and room (see photos), limited guest services and lack of quality room maintenance (see photos) made us feel...

I would have given this hotel three stars given the price for accommodation, however to have the hotel advertised as "breakfast included" in the price is false advertisement. There was no breakfast. There was only a corner table with milk, oj, bagels, donuts. Other than that the rooms were small but comfortable, the bathroom was big, almost the size of...

Stayed at the Charlesmark for a few days while visiting Boston for the first time. Situated on Boylston Street, which is a bustling street in the Back Bay area, with a T station (metro/subway station) a minute's walk away, and the impressive Trinity Church and Boston Public Library right opposite, this is a great location for tourists to the city....

Hotel facilities are very clean and perfect for individuals travelling for business. I love they have a full bar for a drink at night. My room was small but had everything I needed and it was on the ground floor, which I liked.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
