My girlfriend and I took a random trip to Boston out of the blue. We went for Columbus Day weekend so most hotels were sold out or minimum $300 for one night so we found the Farrington Inn. It was the cheapest possible deal at $200 for the night. Upon arrival and entering I felt like we were in the...

This place was ok. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Older house with lots of original features. Clean beds and quiet most of the time. You get what they say you get. Easy to get around from Allston on the bus and subway to do all sight seeing.

"+" There were few people and I could safely use the shower and toilet. Everywhere old furniture, but clean. Good wi-fi. Not far from the metro station and 30 minutes walk of the Cambridge distric. "-" Everything is very meager and cheap. But the price is appropriate. Nearby there are not bars and restaurants, as this area - college campuses.

The staff were extremely helpful from the moment we arrived, which was late at night due to delayed flight. Our room was comfortable, just what you expect from a hostel, simple and clean. The shared bathroom was also clean and showers were fine. Staff were excellent the next day giving us directions and the best and cheapest routes into Boston, which...

The Farrington Inn is a *hostel* so please don't come here expecting 5-star service with daily turndown and hotel staff pampering you every minute of the day. You will stay in a slightly old house with quirky but functional furniture and decoration. The friendly staff will greet you when you arrive but that'll be about it. We got clean linen...

Female traveling alone, plan to stay again. Shared bathroom on third floor, sheets on one of beds threadbare, other sheets fine, single blanket/bed, & one towel, room barebones, but appreciated very reasonable cost, included parking, closeby. City residential, felt busy, safe. A little noisy, but city-normal for setting. Saw four male patrons and one young female, all polite and friendly....

The staff here were very helpful on arrival but after that, we never saw them again for the 3 nights of our stay. The room was very cramped. what security? We were able to push our door open after we locked the keys in the room. We were on the ground floor and the window didn't seem like it would...

I visited this guest house as a solo traveller during a summer travelling break. The guest house is situated on a welcoming residential street. Great proximity to the Metro system, which is relatively cheap. Boston city centre is very accessible as is nearby Cambridge (for those wishing to see the Harvard University campus). There was a very welcoming living area...

My friend and I spent three nights at the Farrington Inn; it was reasonably priced for what we paid for! The rooms were basic but everything we needed for a quick weekend break just minutes from the heart of Boston city. As we were tourists the staff at this accommodation gave us great recommendations on where to go by day...

Being in Boston Labour day weekend, and not knowing that it's labour day weekend can cause some trouble! Having not booked any hotels as we had pre-arranged accommodation that unfortunately fell through, we went on a search for somewhere to stay. We had stayed in the Farrington Inn in May and thought it was fine. We had to share a...
