The only good thing about this hotel was the comfortable beds and the initial room I stayed in (room 629) was large and similar to an old English B&B. Bathroom was tiny but ok. Closet was great! There is no wifi in any of the rooms only in the lobby - claims that it is an old building are ridiculous...

It is great! it is a good location and everything is so convenient. I like it. It will be better if shuttle bus could be arranged for guest pickup or sending, if there are more choices for the breakfast. But it is worthy at this price.

The location is great, right across from the Back Bay station and near Boston Common. The rooms are outdated but good amenities and there is complimentary breakfast. The lobby and business center are nice.

The rooms were clean, and neat, the staff was very friendly and professional, and worked to provide me a room that met my needs. It is an older hotel, so it does not come with all the amenities that newer hotels come with, but that is also to be expected. The rooms were smaller than expected, but the room did...

Nice hotel in a good part of Boston. Easy walk to public transportation. Nice free breakfast! Bed was comfortable and gave a good night's rest. Room was a bit dingy, and was in need of a fresh coat of paint.

We booked the hotel online at priceline.com and paid $160.00. For that price you don't find anything else around Copley Sq. And the hotel is not bad. It is located right in the back of the Back Bay Metro Station, which is easily reached from the airport (connection from Blue to Orange line at State Stt). You can easily walk...

It was convenience and reasonable. In the central area of the town, it is five minutes on foot from Copley Station. Because there were parking facilities in the neighbor, I felt it was dark around the entrance at night. The cleaning was perfect, but the bathtub and the washstand were old. However, the shower and the toiletstool weren't old. I'll stay...

Boston is a really expensive city to stay in and this place is one of the least expensive...and for my husband and our adult son and me it was $284 for one night (this includes the tax) It is a bit shabby and worn, but it was basically clean. When my son asked for a mini fridge, it was promptly...

Spent two days here for my Nephews wedding and although not an elegant hotel it was clean and neat and I slept well the two nights I spent. The towels were thin in the bathroom. Bathroom was small but adequate for my needs. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were ok.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
