Great location, near restaurants and other downtown points of interest. Rooms (particularly the suites) were attractive and well laid out, and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. With breakfast included, all things considered a bargain.

Place was great for what we needed for a weekend in Boston. It was perfect location to main Boston area. We easily fit our family of four in the room. Loved that they had a pool for the kids! Breakfast was good. Nice views out the windows! They have parking although it is a bit costly if you can research...

You cannot pick a better location for access to the downtown area of Boston. There are great benefits with a view of the harbor and Bunker Hill. The rooms are spacious by Boston hotel standards. Recommend you get rid of your rental car if you can to avoid $45/day parking. The airport is 10 minutes by cab much cheaper than...

First I should stay that I was only in the hotel for about 14 hours. I stayed here with my husband and two kids on a quick weekend trip to Boston. The hotel isn't located near any of the sights except for the USS Constitution. The parking is very expensive and the rooms are totally blah and I thought quite...

On 6th floor wifi was very spotty and at times impossible. Had to go to lobby to get a reliable connection. Front desk clerk argued with me over location of a restaurant. 10 min walk she said. Cab took 2 miles on a very cold night. Location is not good unless you want to be near the USS Constitution. Everything...

Thanks so much to the Residence Inn for rescuing us and our hockey team while snowed in, in Boston! Our flight was delayed over 72 hours and this hotel managed to house our extra large group, and even helped with meals and entertainment while the city was pretty much closed down. It was a fantastic stay!

As Boston is an expensive city, I made alternate arrangements for a trip a few weeks ago. It was such a complete disaster that I had no choice but to find other accommodations ASAP. I had never been so relieved to walk into a Marriott property. Tiannah and Dottie set the tone for what was to come, and I had...

Just across the river and within comfortable walking distance to Boston is the delightful Residence Inn on Tudor Wharf. The walk across the river to the North End/TD Garden is charming and beautiful brownstones of Charlestown, The Bunker Hill Monument and Old Ironsides are within crawling distance. Stayed at this location on a Saturday night in early November. Great, quiet location for exploring Boston; just down the street from Bunker Hill and easy access to the North End and Freedom Trail. Standard hotel chain breakfast. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean.Good parking lot option next to the property ($27 for 24 hours).

Staying in Charlestown

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlestown
Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit. Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge from the North End or take the scenic water locks to Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll down cute Main street, wandering up the windy residential streets to Monument Square, where you can learn about the city’s history along with a great view of Boston at the Bunker Hill Monument. While it’s not a huge area, there are some excellent restaurants. Find your way to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a developing area with lots of condos and an additional site for Massachusetts General Hospital research centers. Here you will also find the USS Constitution Museum. After you’re done, hop on an MBTA ferry at the dock on Baxter street and zip on over to Long Wharf and the New England Aquarium.
