The InterContinental Boston is a business/luxury hotel that lives up to expectations. The lobby is inviting and well appointed, as are the guest rooms. The onsite amenities are what you would expect from an InterContinental hotel. The staff are professional and welcoming.

Loved almost everything about the visit. The only issue we had was at night the room was too warm. We put the temp as cool as possible and the fan on hi but could not stay cool. I tried to kick the comforter off and use the sheet, but it was an all in one. A little odd. Comfy but...

I stayed here for one night with a friend and we loved it! The hotel staff were friendly, the room itself was quite nice as is with most Intercontinental hotels, but the best part was the location. I love to walk to explore cities and the location here was so convenient. You can walk all over the harbor, Financial District...

The Intercontinental Boston is a great example from this hotel group. Location Located on the harbour (at the site of the Boston Tea Party) and within easy walking to the financial district had most major attractions including the North End, Boston Common, Quincy Market and Newbury Street. South street subway station is a three minute walk from the hotel where...

Stayed at the InterContinental Boston for the Boston Marathon 2017. From check-in to check-out the service was great. We were especially impressed with the concierge staff who were very helpful for everything from restaurants and museums, to finding some safety pins for my marathon race number. Our room was super comfortable and quiet. No complains about the hotel.

This is a hotel where everything is superb . The service is outstanding. The room is cleaned impeccably every day . The concierge is outstanding. Breakfast has been very good every day . The fitness gym is excellent. I enjoy swimming and the indoor pool is great but only about 13 meters long . Would definitely come back .

Very nice hotel over all...bathrooms with tub & stand up shower are surprisingly nicer than expected.....Concierge was Awesome...a few changes that would need to be made for me to be repeat customer. There was no hot tub at the pool which is nice when kids are in pool and relaxing after a long day of walking around Boston. I saw...

Spent a weekend at the Intercontinental recently and while the weather was poor the hotel was great! Terrific location with easy access to Seaport and Faneuil Hall areas. Top notch service at the hotel from the front desk to the RumBa Bar. This was our second visit and will definitely not be our last!

We so enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Right from the check in our stay was wonderful! We were upgraded to a waterfront view on the 11th floor. The room was so nice with the bed facing the water. We so enjoyed the view. The room had a lovely desk with a view of the water and a chaise lounger...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.

“There was no refrigerator in our room. We could of used one for drinks and desserts we could not eat at dinner, but brought back to the room for a late night snack. That is just how we travel, if you usually don't need a refrigerator, then it's perfect for you. It was a fantastic room even without the fridge.”

“Excellent location in Seaport area. The front desk staff are always helpful. Quick breakfast area has a great waitress who is always pleasant. The rooms are always comfortable. Gym is well equipped with machines and some free weights and the pool area is excellent. ”
