Was not acknowledged as Spire Ambassador at the front desk when checking in. First time was waiting for the room and 2nd time was when picking up the key. Unlike some other ICs, no upgrade was given to Spire Ambassador when booking with the Chase anniversary night. Also there is only 1 robe in the room but 2 pairs of...

Dear Johnny C, Thank you so much for taking the time to review our property. I am sorry to read that your Spire Ambassador status was not recognized by the staff. We stayed here for a long weekend adjacent to a business trip. We are Platinum Ambassadors and were using a free night. The front desk was busy and there was no dedicat Ambassador line so we had to wait. We received an upgrade to a deluxe room, but no harbor view was available. Instead we got passes to the club...

I stayed here recently for one night and found the experience disappointing. That started at checkin. I checked in at 3:01, a minute after the hotel's listed check-in time, and had booked a standard room. The associate at the front desk told me that he had no standard rooms available and asked me to pay $20-$30 to upgrade to a...

The property is beautiful, and the service matched it. We were granted an early check upon arriving after a red eye, and this was truly appreciated. A lively gift of wine and cheese was delivered to us in the afternoon. My only complaint is the design of the bathroom, which is separated from the bedroom by sliding frosted Windows, which...

Let's get right to it, here are the pros and cons: Pros first: - Modern hotel with well equipped room - Large and really nice bathroom - Comfortable firm bed - Helpful front desk staff - Convenient location Cons: - City facing rooms have no views, other than the taller buildings blocking the views - Guests in city facing rooms...

Decided to try Boston for the first time as an IHG Gold Ambassador it made sense to stay at the Intercontinental. I should probably start by saying that one of the things that I really value is the recognition of membership without having to point it out - I don't mean that from a status/up myself perspective, but just from...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
