Booked on hotwire which advertised this as a 5 star hotel. It is a good, solid 4-4.5 star but not 5. Pros: decent size, great bathroom, good housekeeping with twice daily turndown w water at night. Also were able to get a crib which came with a baby blanket and rubber ducky which was adorable. Cons: gap under the sliding...

We wanted a great place to stay in Boston with proximity to the harbor, the aquarium, Harvard, and public garden. This is a first class property on a first class location with great facilities and friendly service. Service was friendly with only one slight exception (check out desk). Ivan was so so helpful with bags he deserves a raise! Beds...

Classy, clean hotel in the best area of Boston. Staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Robert at the front desk. He noticed that it was my boyfriends birthday and had a bottle of wine and a piece cake sent to our room, wow! Every staff person we met was helpful and you can tell they like their job. Rare...

Excellent!!. First time in Boston. The staff was very helpful. They gave us a free harbor view upgrade. There are a number of good restaurants around the area. Love to stay again. It is only 2 blocks away from Amtrek station.

We had a two night stay at this hotel for Memorial Day weekend. So glad we chose the InterContinental! The staff was extremely helpful and professional. We had a very crisp, clean room with a fantastic water view. The bathroom was large and spotless. The waterfront location is wonderful and affords access to restaurants, historical attractions etc. Another feature is...

We stayed at the InterContinental Boston for 2 nights. Great location and a beautifull room, we faced the Fire Brigade Station and the small park. We expected some noise from the firetruck sirens but they where very quite at night, it did not disturb our rest at all. Room was clean and tight, reception at the frontdesk very helpfull and...

I had been hearing about Five10 Waterfront so I had to check it out. My bartender Johann was very friendly and interactive with his customers. Whenever I visit I would prefer to have Johann as my bartender his drinks are the best! Excellent service.

Stop by the outside bar! Johann is awesome, super friendly and fun. Great bar set up and great view. We came on a holiday weekend and the bars were packed but the view and weather was great. Would 100% stay at this hotel again and can only hope Johann is the bar tender again!

My wife and I spent several days at the Intercontinental Boston in May 2016. From the moment we arrived we were greeted and treated with courtesy and professionalism. The staff immediately made us welcomed and saw to our every need. Rooms were well appointed and clean. The beds could have been softer but were comfortable for a spring mattress. If...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
