My wife & I stayed here four nights to enjoy the short walk to Fenway Park to see the Royals & Red Sox battle it out. Room was lovely - breakfast was perfect! Theresa (and all the ladies) were extremely helpful - giving us advice for getting around Boston. One block from Kenmore subway station allowed us easy access to...

Built in 1890 (the original wallpaper still hangs), it's a charming alternative to an impersonal hotel. The room was large and comfortable and the breakfast, served in a Victorian parlor, was very nice. Great place to stay if you're heading to Fenway -- or anywhere else in Boston since it's right near a subway.

Stayed for three nights while sightseeing in Boston. This is a very comfortable lodging in the Back Bay area. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped with two easy chairs and a sofa. Just the thing to come back to after a day trekking around town. The inn is close to a wide variety of restaurants and is two blocks from...

Excellent location. Walked to Boston University. Walked to Fenway Park. Restaurants close. Very comfortable rooms and nice continental breakfast. Don't be afraid to take fourth floor- no road noise up there. Just a lot of stairs which we knew to expect.

This location was PERFECT to get home easily from Fenway. It is on a quiet street (for Boston) and an easy walk to Fenway. The room was great, big with a small kitchen area. The bathroom was huge and the shower pressure was FANTASTIC! We actually really liked that breakfast was continental. It didn't seem "lame" and it was nice...

My husband and I stayed at the Gryphon House for 4 nights while we were in Boston to see Pearl Jam at Fenway Park. The Gryphon House (GH) was wonderful! The common areas downstairs were beautiful. Thanks so much for coming to stay with us and for your review. I'm still jealous that you got to see Pearl Jam at Fenway--it's like the "two great things that go great together", as the old jingle went! :) I'm sorry everything wasn't perfect, but I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay, and I do hope you'll come stay...

Beautiful rooms. We were in the Tuscany and it was great. Little kitchen area. Coffeepot. Fridge. Fireplace. Comfy queen bed. Staff is friendly. They put out a wonderful continental breakfast every morning. Fruit, bread, cereal, yogurt. Perfect for grabbing and going. This is a great place to stay if your going to a Redsox game. Gryphon House was a fantastic place to stay. Its location offered easy access to all great things the Back Bay area has to offer. The room was comfortable, well-appointed, and beautifully decorated. Breakfast and 24 hour self-help treats were terrific. The common area was a relaxing, rich environment. The best part was the staff. They were pleasant, helpful, and made our...

We stayed in the Garden room. It was convenient in more than one way. We were able to park behind the building and walk just a few steps down to our room. How easy to get your luggage in and out. We're so happy you enjoyed your stay! You are correct about the breakfast situation--we'd have to get a restaurant license in order to cook, and with only eight rooms and a small staff, we just can't swing it! But we sure hope you liked some of what we were able to offer, and that your hubby is up for a...

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
