Our room was located above the incredibly noisy bar which stays open until 2am and brings in super size speakers on a Friday night. One of the receptionists was rude and patronising and the whole experience was disappointing. This is not a boutique hotel as claimed on the website but a small, cramped, dingy, noisy, overpriced hostel. Do not waste...

Arrived here from London on a cold and wet night two days before the very hot weather to find our room like a fridge. We were told that the heating had been turned off due to the warm weather expected in two days time. We asked for a heater and were told they didn't have any. We kicked up merry...

Actually stayed in Chandler Suites which tin by Chandler Inn but down the block . This is a very modern facility with limited off street parking. The room was bright and very comfortable. The bath was more like a spa. The staff was extremely helpful. The location is fairly central and very quiet as it is in the middle of...

Staff at front desk was kind and welcoming but: 1) they told me there is a safe in the room and there is no. 2) I reported the tap in the WHB was leaking but they never fixed 3) it was impossible to close bedside cabinet drawers 4) heating system was on at really high temperature and room temperature control...

The Chandler is located in a great part of the city. The hotel is close to public transportation if you don't mind walking a few blocks. Although lodging in Boston is quite costly, the Chandler was reasonable given the size and location. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were well appointed and clean. I would stay again...

Reasonably priced older hotel near downtown. Room size is adequate and the walk in shower was nice. Restaurant adjacent but did not eat there. Coffee and tea in the lobby (not in room) but bring your own tea because they only have Lipton. Only negative is they photocopy your credit card and drivers licenses which is not a common practice...

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel because it's close to the copley square area but quietly tucked away on the quiet and charming brickstone-lined chandler street. Very close to Back Bay station. It really was a pleasure to walk to/from the hotel every day. For those who come to Boston through South Station, note that the hotel is a...

Chandler Inn is a lovely and modernly decorated hotel, although small. It is located about 15 minutes walk from Boston Common Park, and conveniently positioned between 2 subway stations, each 3-5 minutes walk away. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. The streets around are also quiet and safe. The room is large enough for 2 people and a luggage,...

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Boston. We were disappointed with the hotel. It was clean and fairly well kept for a hotel this old but.... the air con/heating is controlled downstairs and despite the weather they were reluctant to put it on. Had to ask twice. It was noisy and the shower was not that great. We...

It was my understanding that this hotel (and all Boston hotels) have a very strict non-smoking policy. This hotel listed on their door that they are very strict about this issue. However, my entire floor smelled horrible of cigarette smoke and later in the night marijuana as well. It ruined my stay and led me to feel ill. They should...

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
