The Omni is expensive, let's get that out of the way. The only reason I was able to stay there was that I used Groupon. After all was said and done, one night cost me a little over $100. Because I used Groupon, however, I was given a lesser room, but I was fairly prepared for that because the same...

The hotel is beautiful, but the room was very small and noisy. We were located on the 2nd floor, so perhaps if we were placed on an alternate floor, it would have been quiet. The housekeeping and front desk staff were wonderful. If you eat at Parker's Pub, be aware that you may have to wait for your food, get...

Staying at the Omni Parker House was a very nice experience. The hotel, staff, restaurant offerings were all amazing. Given how old and historic the hotel is, the small rooms are somewhat understandable. That said, though, my room was VERY small. It was the smallest hotel room I have ever received. Make sure you know the size of your room...

I frequently stay in Boston and my go to hotel is the Parker House, my home away from home. The staff are the best around and the value during winter months is exceptional. The Parker House is conveniently located near all the major attractions and business destinations.

I absolutely loved this hotel! The place was beautiful and the service was impeccable! The main floor is filled with nostalgia! The food is fantastic and the location was perfect, we walked everywhere! I definitely will be back!

Hard to argue with a Historic Landmark run as a first-class hotel. Central location. Ghosts of the Democratic Party past seeming to be walking around in the lobby. Rooms clean and adequate. I'd go back.

Best part of my stay was the friendly door staff and thorough concierge service. Room felt crowded & was placed into an adjoining room with no notice. Room was slightly dusty, mismatched knobs on dresser drawers, overpriced minibar items ($9 for bottle of water) as well as burn marks in some of the furniture. Other reviews are accurate, best/most notable...

Wonderful hotel that is centrally located and within walking distance of most historical sites. Found the Trolley Tour to be great in learning about the different historical sites. The hotel had a comfortable bed and very friendly staff.

Was surprisingly pleased with our hotel - lots of history within the hotel itself, and very easy to get to all the historical sites, subway, restaurants, etc. Staff was always friendly and helpful, even walking me out to the street to make sure I was headed the right way after asking for directions. When I asked for access to a...

You may have been in Parker's Bar which does close at midnight....the Last Hurrah remains open until 1am except on Sunday's when it's closed. We're sorry if this inconvenienced you in anyway but were pleased to learn that you enjoyed the rest of your stay with us!

I have mixed feelings about our stay at the Omni Parker House, so here goes: 1) The staff was extraordinary -- welcoming, helpful and even fun. We got a deal on the room. 2) The location was perfect -- right by the Boston Common & Garden and the subway line. You could go most places without needing a car. 3)...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
