my daughter, grandchildren and i stayed one night at this hotel which is very impressive when you arrive, old, formal and majestic looking. We were happy to have a suite for 6 with two queen beds and a sofa bed. the sofa bed sagged in the middle and the beds were a bit narrow for two children. The service was...

The hotel was nice from the supposed ghost stories to the history and old world feel of the lobby. It is quite expensive but Boston in general is expensive so be prepared for the sticker shock. The workout facility was good enough that I went there almost every day. The hotel staff was very kind and the bartenders were top...

Arrival at the valet entrance was as chaotic as the traffic in Boston; an offer of help with the luggage through the tiny revolving doors and up the stairs would have been appreciated. Check-in was busy when arrived but I was taken care of fairly quickly, although not with much courtesy. Elevators, once I could get one, smelled of vomit....

You are absolutely correct that we should have asked you about your stay before you left because if we had and you mentioned your issues, we would have taken steps to resolve them. It's clear that your experience of our property was atypical and we very much regret that your expectations weren't met.

The history surrounds you at this great property. Service was very good and all staff friendly. We enjoyed the Omni Select perk of free coffee in room and had a lovely dinner in the main dining room with legendary Parker House rolls and delicious seafood paella.

The hotel is old and very well located. Rooms are small. The personnel could be much more helpful and kind. Most of the people at the front desk were not very helpful or accommodating. The concierge wasn't very helpful either.

Thanks for your feedback but we're quite surprised with your comments about our staff. Can you please contact us with more specifics so we can determine exactly what happened on our end?

Cost for hotel did not reflect the condition of the hotel or the expected level of service that I received. Location was host to my conference and was very close to many amenities. Not the worst hotel I have stayed in, but if not the location of my business I would most likely not stay here again.

This hotel is in the best location in Boston. It has a lot of charm. The employees are exceptionally friendly. I would recommend to hotel to anyone who vacations in Boston. This hotel is not far from the south station train stop. The taxi's are reasonable and very polite. The cancellation policy really helped me. I had prior reservations and...

We love historic hotels, and this one did not disappoint! We loved every detail! Best possible location for seeing the historic sites as well as being close to current shopping locations and great restaurants! We took the hop on hop off trolley one day then walked the rest of the time with no problems. Would definitely stay here again!

I tried this hotel on a friend's recommendation. Bad points: My corporate agent chose the cheapest room, naturally, and this was a very small. As far as I can see, most of the rooms are this size. It is the smallest room I've stayed in for 30 years. The window overlooked an office building about 10-15 feet away, and with...

Much like Boston the OMNI Parker House has a lot of history and it's clearly seen from its exterior, the lobby and the guestrooms. We stayed 3 nights to explore the city from a downtown location and we were very happy with our choice. It was pretty easy to find considering we arrived on a Saturday midday and there are...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
