This is mainly a convention/business hotel in the back bay. It is connected to the Hynes convention center. Because of this you can get reasonable room rates on the weekend as they tend to have less tourist business than convention business.

We were nervous about traveling with our energetic 7 month old baby boy and handsome Warren at the front desk made sure our every need was met. He had great recommendations for baby-friendly things to do including visiting Eatily in the Pru. We were able to easily pull the stroller right up to a table and the open atmosphere allowed...

Stayed for 4 nights just after Christmas. Very helpful receptionist and amazed she was patient and friendly considering the long line of people about to check in. Receptionist very helpful and recommended us to upgrade to a bigger room with better view and free wifi which was worth it for a little extra. Great big room and beds very comfortable....

After excellent online communication with Alaina (always a good sign), through her advice we chose an executive suite which turned out to be fabulous. Very spacious, comfortable sofa bed for our son, and views to die for over the river each morning. Yes, the hotel is massive, but this didn't detract from the service, which is even more impressive. This...

We stayed at the Boston Sheraton for one night while attending the Frozen Four at Fenway. Having stayed here many years ago I was very familiar with the convenient location of the hotel and the easy access to the Prudential Center and Copley Place. A really pleasant surprise was how great the service was. Much better than I had experience...

I stayed four nights in this hotel. The general spaces are as you would expect. The meeting spaces are top notch. The meeting/events staff was the best I have EVER worked with!! They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and didn't nickle and dime us over everything. This hotel is connected to the large...

Yes, this is a very good hotel, with excellent check-in staff, reasonable prices and good location (and we were given a room with a good view of the Charles River), but with additional high prices for parking (US$ 50), breakfast (US$ 60) and room service meal (US$ 90) this was still an expensive affair. The hotel itself is a grand...

My dad and I went for David Ortiz's last regular season game and stayed at this hotel. Check in was super easy, the reception desk was very friendly and we could even see Fenway Park from our hotel room! The hotel room was really clean, and even with so many people staying there that weekend, it was really quiet. They...

The hotel is biggg. We were afforded early check in and upgraded to a Junior Suite, which was very considerate. Room was big enough for 4 adults. Lifts were surprisingly quick for such a large hotel. Location excellent for shopping and food. Had access to Club Lounge. Not worth the additional cost as the food and snacks were very minimal...

Stayed here for a conference and would definitely come back. Despite being a conference hotel, it doesn’t feel as large as so many others do (Aria, et al.). Location for sightseeing was only so-so, as there are others closer to the touristy parts of the city, though it would be fine for reaching many of the local area city universities....

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
