We spent three nights at this wonderful hotel. We had booked well in advance and had an attractive rate for a 5 star quality room. Lack of a pool is a slight drawback, but if you want one of the best locations for tourism or for business I can't imagine a better choice.

I enjoyed the Taj Boston. It has an amazing location across from the park and at the end of Newbury Street (across from a very large Burberry store). The staff were uniformly helpful. I had an inside room, but it was very large, and the bathroom was very nicely appointed. The dining room is small but elegant, with Euro-American food...

I stayed here over the Fourth of July weekend this year with family and it was very nice. They gave us a complimentary upgrade, so we had a view of the Commonwealth Mall and partially of the Public Garden. The room was very spacious and clean. Beds were nice as well. The gym is 24-hours, which was really nice when...

Recently stayed at the Taj Boston for 4 days. The room was surprisingly large for a city hotel. Very comfortable king-size bed. Quiet room. Very large closet with lots of hangars. Almost makes up for lack of drawers. There was sufficient room for a chest of drawers but yet there was none. Strange. Large safe in the closet. Big wide...

had problems with the shower and toilet. couldn't move us because they said they were full. I think that was a story, It didn't look full at all. The main problem was not attending to problems and requests for a better room. They gave us a handicap room which I didn't ask for and couldn't move us.

The Taj was gracious and convenient. Can't beat the location and setting. The accommodations and meals were excellent. Having a person in the catering room to clean up any accidents at all times was indispensable. Highly recommended.

I am very disappointed in the Taj. I was here for the fourth of July in Boston 2016. I live in Somerville right outside of Boston. For the fourth of July I was looking to spend the evening with my partner in Boston central at a hotel that had a hotel with a good look of the fireworks. I thought...

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Taj, Boston after a stay in Cape Cod.I was little worried this hotel was going to be too "corporate" and although there were a number of business people staying at the hotel there was also a fair number if tourists. The hotel is opposite the Public Garden which leads...

This was a great hotel from the moment we arrived! The hotel is beautiful and overlooks Boston park with huge rooms and very comfy beds. The location is great, the hotel sits on the corner of Newbury street which is the best street for shopping and cute cafes. We had breakfast every day at a little cafe on Newbury rather...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
