As usual--excellent in all respects and especially cooperative, friendly, and accommodating. Central to almost everything one would wish to do, with really nice views to the avenue. Sorry it does not have a restaurant.

Absolutely perfect for the busy shopper/sightseer. Clean, friendly helpful staff and really comfortable beds! This is our 18th year staying here and we would never stay anywhere else. It's just had a makeover decorated wise which has smartened up the reception area, we love it!

Midtown is a solid, average, no frills kind of place. The location is excellent, and the price is much better than nearby hotels. Staff were courteous, friendly, and very helpful. The room was simple, clean, and got lots of light. The hotel looks like its been around for a while, and the rooms are not going to be a luxury... More

My family and I have stayed here several times since it is walking distance to my daughter's college. We love that it is clean, the staff is super friendly, they have a parking garage and the rates are affordable.

The hotel is centrally located. It clean and quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The price is a little high, but it is much higher at other hotels nearby. The room is large but the sink area is small.

I'm shocked people woul give this facility anything less than am excellent rating. We had a medical emergency while there and the entire staff is and was phenomenal. The hotel is spotless and a joy to stay at. Andrew, Mark and Jamal are A+++

I booked this hotel only because it was well-located and cost 100 per night less than the other alternatives, qualifying it for downtown Boston's version of an economy hotel. I really enjoyed the place, partly because it is a slightly updated 1960's motor lodge--it was a lot of fun on that account. The rooms had been updated, but a lot... More

The first two nights of my 4 night stay were remarkable quiet. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were very friendly. I liked the location as it was easy walking distance to MIT. no fault for the hotel - but my neighbors were rather noisy during the last few night. The room was fair and I did not really... More

This hotel is close to Northeastern. My room was next to the ice machine which was very loud when someone obtained ice and woke me several times during the night. My room was very warm the first day I got there and I asked the front desk person about adjusting the temperature. He told me the thermostat doesn't work and... More

Thank you for the warm welcome. The accommodations are affordable and safe. I have physical challenges and seldom have a good night-even at home! Please provide firmer mattresses-without the multiple pads.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
