Hotel was very nice and very convenient to Fenway Park. A short walk across the bridge. The hotel is in need of more parking and faster elevators. There are only two....but the hotel is historic. Enjoyed our stay.

I have been staying at this hotel twice yearly (Sept and May) for 4 years while my daughter attended BU. The location is great and usually, the price is reasonable for the Boston area. This May was her graduation, and I brought much of my family to stay for the celebration. The price of the rooms for graduation week was...

THE GOOD:This location was very convenient for Boston University. The staff was very friendly. The wifi was free. Also close to Fenway. We could see the upper deck of the park from our room. THE BAD: there is no bellman to help get your bags up the 10 steps at the entrance. We didn't realize there was an elevator at...

After spending over a week in America in 2 other locations with family Boston was our last stop before heading back to Ireland. I choose the hotel mostly because it was in our budget. When we arrived after a long bus journey we were soaked but thanks to the warm lights in the bathroom we were able to get out...

This hotel definitely had its pros. The location was great; it was super close to a train and in a nice walkable area. The front desk staff was very friendly. Another plus was comfortable beds and pillows. The bath products were impressive. There were, however, also some cons. The small rooms were dated and dingy. The towels were tiny and...

I stayed at this hotel for one night. The room has Venetian blinds that barely block the light so come 6 am it's quite bright. Plus, the highway noise. Then there was no hot water, so I took a very cold shower. When I checked out the person at the desk asked me "How was your stay?" and instead of...

The hotel is very quaint. We requested a room upgrade, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had breakfast in the restaurant, and the food was delicious. Biggest plus was the awesome, friendly staff!! Will definitely stay again.

The Great- The service at the hotel was great. My heating in my room was not working properly. When I called the front desk, they sent someone up immediately. They fixed the problem within an hour. During that time they provided me with portable heater. I was pleased. The value for money here is great, at around $180/day (other hotels...

Staff was great. I made a late booking in town during a very busy time and they were very accommodating. I asked for an early check in and they made sure that the room was available. Room was great with a view of Kenmore and Fenway. Very convenient location - staff was super-nice and even the parking valets were very...

I have memories of the Buckminster as an old hotel without much to offer other than character. I was surprised to find a renovated treasure. Big, comfortable clean room. Lots of towels. Nice staff and great location. I recommend it highly. It is not inexpensive, but still a value.

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
