The Buckminster Hotel is a fine establishment. It's not five star, but it has a certain charm at the level it pitches in at. Good reception and front of house staff, genuinely polite, helpful, and of a happy disposition, regardless of the hour. My adult son and I stayed in room 516, (5th floor obviously, 3 night stay ) overlooking... More

I stayed here in April, 20016, for one night. The location is fantastic for Red Sox game or if visiting Boston University. However, the hotel needs work. My first room did not have hot water nor a working closet light. They were professional about it and I got moved to a different room. The windows in both rooms let in... More

Please accept our apologies for the issues you found with your room. I am glad to hear that our staff immediately resolved everything to your satisfaction. With our location, we have so many guests who are here because of the view of Fenway Park and the ability to walk 100 yards to get to the game. We did recently upgrade... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. The room was lovely big, wooden floors, kitchen area, and bathroom. The staff were helpful. The hotel is right next to Fenway Park, Which is great for baseball fans, not so great if you aren't. The hotel is a train ride from the main attractions. The hotel has plaques all over the lobby explaining the... More

Nice large clean room, great bathroom, kitchen area, everything you need. Right around the corner from Fenway Park and walk to the T. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants and bars. has parking for $, but right next door which is a plus in Boston.

It is nice to hear that you appreciated our great location for anyone coming to see a Sox game at Fenway Park. Can't beat being on a two minute walk to the main gate and seeing the park from many of our rooms. The Boston Hotel Buckminster is very convenient to everything that Boston has to offer. More

A friend and I were in town for a couple of Red Sox games and the Boston Marathon. We found this hotel minutes away from both at a reasonable price during a busy weekend. The service was great, front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. We needed them to hold our bags during the game after we had checked out... More

Stayed here for marathon. Just one expensive night. Small parking garage. Expensive parking fee. Checked in for a previously booked double bed room. Walked down very narrow hall to room. I have never seen a smaller hotel room!! One bed. Called front desk, long story short we were moved to a room with 2 beds and a sitting room. Nice... More

We appreciate your feedback. We do offer a variety of rooms at varying rates and the larger rooms are typically offered at higher rates. The Boston Marathon does create tremendous demand for hotels in the city and our rates reflect that demand. I am happy to hear that our staff was able to offer you an alternative room. More

This historic property retains a few remnants of its original elegance. One flight of stairs is still marble, for instance. But it's an old building. Our room was tiny, window faced an airshaft, thermostat difficult to use and room took a long time to stabilize at a comfortable temperature. Toilet tank leaked, and so we could hear it refilling every... More

We'stayed at the Buckminster four times but it's time to look around. Our room faced the air shaft which is not a problem except for the random mechanical screeches through the night. Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
