This historic hotel (The Black Sox scandal started here!) is in a great location near Fenway, BU, the T, and a train station. Many of the rooms have been recently renovated. The staff is friendly and concerned that you are happy.

Thanks for the kind words about our great staff. Many of our guests love to read about all the history of the hotel and take advantage of our great location near Fenway, Boston University, and access to public transportation. Please come back again soon.

I did not like how the rates were elevated for specific time of year (for example: college graduations, "game day" etc.). However, I've stayed at this location multiple times, and will stay again in the future (my wife will see you this weekend!).

We would first like to thank you for being a loyal customer and staying with us over the years. As with most hotels in Boston, our rates do vary based on seasonality and special events, however, we do try to maintain our price value relative to our competitors. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Thank you.

Amazing, spacious, clean room! Booked through Priceline and was not disappointed. Booked a standard room and it was basically a one bedroom apartment. Between the size, cleanliness, location and staff, it is a winner and we will book here again. The view of Fenway was the icing on top!

Enjoyed a 6 night stay in Boston recently. We picked the Buckminster due to its central location. Hotel was a little dated but we had a decent sized room with King bedroom and separate living area. It was quite noisy at nightime, even though windows were double glazed, due to its location on a junction and 4 laned roadway close...

Thank you for taking the time to complete this review. It is concerning to us that your room did not have sufficient window treatments to properly block the sunlight. We do have varying types of window treatments - some blackout drapery, some blinds, and others have decorative shutters. We will be sure to make it a priority to check each...

Recently stayed at the Buckminster for a few nights for my daughter's BU graduation. Have stayed here many times over the last 4 years. This visit was the best ever. Had a brand-spanking new new room on the 2nd floor.... loads of space, kitchenette, comfy bed, freshly-painted, all new furnishings with a great few of Fenway and the famous Citgo...

We have been staying at the hotel for the last four years while our son has been at school. Although it's a city hotel in the heart of the city the price is always right. The rooms are very cozy and the staff is very kind. Upon our last visit we stayed in the newer section in one of the...

We are delighted to have you as such a loyal customer. To have guests return year after year is the highest compliment a hotel can expect. It seems that we always have several Boston University parents in the hotel throughout the year. Thank you again for your patronage and look forward to seeing you soon.

This hotel is the perfect location right next to Fenway and a block from the subway. Surrounded by many restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. We even had a room with a view of the park. Very easy to get to, and right off the interstate. Our room was clean and spacious.

The Boston Hotel Buckminster is perfectly located for visitors to get to Fenway Park for a game or use the public transportation system (the subway) to get to any part of the city. Thanks for the comments.

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms were small but consistent with the era it was built in. There is a ton of history on this building. The walls in the lobby tell a wonderful story. Walking distance to Fenway Park and the subway. The Fenmore Restaurant is nice and you get a $10 off coupon for being a hotel guest.

If you are just looking for a place to lay your head, than you will be fine here. Unfortunately, they will rake you over the coals on price. The room was mostly clean, but old and dingy. Couldn't begin to count the amount of coats of paint they have used on their walls and trim. Door needed to be pushed...

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
