This place is just for sleeping only but my experience was terrible. On the same building , there was a pub with noisy aloud music all night till after midnight . Downtown location is not the advantages.Homelesses strolled around the area, sometimes did bizarre things. Do not favor a cheap accommodation, I recommend to choose hotel in hotel circle if...

Thank you for your candid review. Might I recommend our sister location in the quiet residential area of Point Loma.

I loved this hostel. The staff was great. The kitchen was great. The people were great. The rooms where great. The wifi was pretty good. It was clean and had an elevator. Also had a big selection of tour options or ideas on where to visit.

I stayed here for 3 nights and chose it for the central location. I was able to book a private double room with en suite bathroom. The room was basic but comfortable and clean and a decent size. There was no view but that was fine. The room also had a fridge and hair dryer. A kitchen and dining area...

I reserved weeks ahead, cancelled the first night with no problems. The price was the lowest I've paid in the U.S. in ANY location in years, a third what the lowest competitor charged. It's not "private." You may share a Spartan room upstairs with three other guests, making your own bunk bed with linens provided. There's an elevator. Though in...

Thank you for your review! We really appreciate the feedback. We do have rooms that are completely private similar to hotel rooms. I think there may have been some confusion and a dorm bed was booked. I'm glad to hear you had a great stay overall though. Visit us again soon!

A great hostel right in the centre of the Gaslamp district. Rooms are clean and modern and the shared facilities are quite spacious. The staff are fantastic too, with loads of knowledge on things to do!

The main advantage of this place is its location in the heart of Gaslamp. In itself, the hostel is okay. Positive points: - Very cleaned places - A breakfast more than correct Negative points: - No stairs, you have to take the elevator. - I was welcomed by a guy who didn't really seem to know what to do. Not...

Reasons below why this hostel is diabolical: 1. Told that the parking bay outside was for 20 min loading by staff, it was 3 mins so got parking ticket ! 2. Breakfast is a dry bagel with jam !!!! I.e. Not breakfast 3. No social at all, it was like trying to get blood out of a stone talking to...

Thank you for your candor and I'm sorry that we seemed to have missed the mark with your stay. Let me apologize again for the parking ticket, we hope the refund we issued you at the time of the incident, in the amount of the ticket, helped. Thank you for the feedback on our breakfast; we currently get the bagels...

I stayed in this hostel for five nights when I came over to San Diego for a conference. It's very close to the conference venue (10 minutes walk) and in a fun party venue. I shared a twin (bunk bed) room with my colleague. There are shared bathrooms (lots of them) and a shared kitchen. Everything was very clean, safe...

Awesome and cheap! This hostel was in the heart of Gas Lamp district, which has a great nightlife and is close to the ocean. We check-in with a private room with a private bathroom. Remember this is a hostel, so there wasn't a tv in the room, but the location was worth it.

Stayed here last week and was really disappointed. Do not get me wrong the location is fantastic, right on the gaslight district but everything else was a huge disappointment. The whole mantra of hostel international is to make travelling easy and affordable but this place was highly overpriced. I have stayed at the downtown location in Boston before and it...
