I had such a blast meeting and interacting with the guests and employees of USA Hostels Ocean Beach. Although I only stayed in the hostel one night I met friends I continued to see throughout my stay. The hostel had events planned trip to Tijuana, a mountain hike that our fearless leader took us on despite the rain, and drinks...

This place is well run very secure, mostly non american travelers. It is perfectly clean with great bathrooms and showers. great cooking kitchen. Great outdoor fun on the patio to socialize, drinking games etc. Everyone hangs out together all night starting at 6pm till whenever they go to sleep. Bad part is the living room is outside and its cold...

It was cold, rainy, and windy, but the environment was warm and happy. The rooms and facilities were nice and clean, and the staff rocked! My buddy even left his necklace in his bunk, and the team located it and shipped it back to him. We met a bunch of lovely people and had a blast! Will definitely be coming...

Made lots of friends from all over the world. We moved here so we still see the ones who work at the hostel! It was the perfect way to move into a new area/state/coast!! Highly recommended for all travelers

The volunteers were very helpful and the activities were great. The hostel is near the beach and there are a couple good (and cheap) restaurants around. Volunteers are really laid back and fun. The only negative thing is that it might take a couple minutes to have hot water in the showers. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay (5 days).

This was my first time staying at a hostel and it could not have been any better. Clean, bright, and in the heart of OB, the experiences my friends and I had and the friends we made at the hostel were the absolute highlight of our two day stay in San Diego. You won't get much sleep but the memories...

Thankful for the Ocean Beach hostel staff helping me with all my little needs, from letting me use their landline to attempt to call my lost phone to personally waking me up at 4 am for my flight since I didn't have an alarm.

This was way cleaner than some hotels I have stayed in! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the premises was very safe. The rooms were bigger than I thought, bathrooms were nice and clean, and they had fun events and activities planned for guests. Would definitely stay here again!!

Stayed at USA Hostel OB for a few nights and have nothing but good things to say! The hostel was clean, staff (and other visitors!) were friendly and very helpful! The hostel is in a great location, there's lots to do in Ocean Beach and I always felt safe walking through the neighbourhood! Would definitely recommend and visit again!
