This is a very nice hotel in a good location in the heart of San Diego. Our room on the 7th floor was very nice and had a good layout. As previously stated the rooms are on the small side, but totally adequate. (similar to european sizes) The receiption staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel has a bar/restaurant attached...

Stayed here one night just to be close to eateries and night life. Location is great The rooms were very nice, however, a two bed room is small. I also asked for a city view and got a side street view of a ugly building with homeless people camping outside. Staff is great, check in was great, would stay again,...

I stayed here for 6 nights. The location was incredibly convenient and I walked nearly everywhere I wanted to go (this is of course individual) but I chose the hotel based on location and it didn't disappoint. I expected it to be a bit noisy but wasn't at all. The room wasn't large but certainly adequate for 1-2 people just...

Hello, I stayed at the Sofia Hotel June 16th and 17th, and had a perfect stay. I'm a fairly easy traveler, but you could be quite fussy and have a great stay here. The lobby, elevator, stairs, and the room itself were very thoughtfully designed, and perfectly comfortable. Great bedding, great towels, and looked great, and had a small fridge,...

Just stayed here 6/22/13 to attend two Padre games. The hotel is nice, comfy beds and pillows...nice furnishings. The room was extremely small!! We had two double beds and you literally barely had any room to walk between the beds and the walls...and between the beds and the furniture. There was a desk and chair but you couldn't sit at...

Wow, what a disappointment! After reading good reviews on TripAdvisor we reserved two nights here. A little pricey at $200/night, but it went up to $300/night ($600 total!!) when all was said and done! We were charged $45 a night on top of our $200/night fee, for "extra fees" and that did not include the $30/night parking fee. We were...

Excellent location right next to the Gaslamp quarter which is full or restaurants and bars. People say the walls are too thin but we couldn't hear a thing from another room, maybe we were lucky. The gym was always empty albeit small, but useable. Comfy bed, clean room and polite staff all for a good price. Parking is $30 for...

After a quick, cheap cab ride from the airport I arrived early and dropped my bags with the bellman. I was able to check in early after lunch. There was a mistake with my reservation & they didn't the room type available that I paid for so they promptly upgraded me to a VIP suite, which was lovely and very...

Stayed here the wk of June 5th, on our first night we couldnt sleep. We were kept awake by the construction for a new restaurant downstairs. Apparently they work at night. Fortunately, when we went to talk with the front desk, they were really nice, moved us to the opposite side of the building and apologized for the inconvenience! The...

Lovely building. The online description is why we choose the location for our business trip. The lobby was inviting and the staff was helpful. I had no problem paying the resort fee, actually thought it was a good value. Fitness center was a pleasant surprise. Our room was functional, yet small for two travelers. I found it interested that the...
