We booked this hotel because of the location and how close it was to the beach and after reading the reviews and seeing the manager say it was updated we thought we'd give this place a shot.... besides the location this was the worse choice we could have made. The paint in the tub is pilling and there are stains...

I am very sorry for the misunderstanding about the upcoming renovation. We are scheduled to start this finally next Monday. I hope after we complete this, that you will give us another try at the return guest rate.

Great location right on the boardwalk and beach. We've been staying here for 4-5 years in the 2nd floor room with the patio overlooking the beach. Love the view and ocean breezes. The rooms have a small fridge, 2-burner stove top, microwave, dishes, and decent sized kitchen area with table. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The...

We are finally addressing all of the issues that were mentioned. As for the balconies, we keep painting the steel. We had the company that installed the glass that replaced the metal, remove as much of the steel as possible and were left with what you see now. I am hoping we will be doing some external work as well...

We stayed in room 111, this was the worst room ever, no ventilation as it is one the bottom floor with a building in front of it. We had a fan but was broken, asked for another was told they didn't have any. They did have ceiling fans, which helped, but the bedroom was very hot and not air movement....

Downing the weekend here. From cracked tiles in the bath and closet rack falling off the wall to rusted out legs on the bathroom vanity. Even the television doesn't work. The only good thing about this hotel is its location. We rented a room with a kitchen, free dead bugs on the coffee cups! The room had one towel, no...

We have just started a renovation on this property, and it will make it one of the nicest inexpensive places to stay on the boardwalk. I'm sorry for the condition of the room, and do hope you will try us again when we have completed the changes.

Stayed here a couple of years ago and place was.ok. We knew coming back that the place was a little run down. But for the price And location you cant beat it. Got in late and came into a room with a refrigator that did not work. Got that replaced next day. We ask for extra towels and came back...

As soon as we finish the renovation, everything will be very nice and better than it has ever been. I talked with the guest service agent about the comments that were made to you as they are not acceptable on any level with me. I do hope you will reconsider after we finish, and that you will call me directly.

Rooms were filthy and worn. Bathroom tub was chipped, carpets were all stained. Trim around carpet was pulled away from wall with electric cords. Some windows had to screen (not good since no air conditioning). Two bedroom suite is misleading and should be noted. The second "suite" is your living room with a sofa bed and from looks of the...

Thank you for your review. Of course, I was notified about the situation you are referring to helped the guest from beginning to end. I do agree that if you read a two room suite that it may lead you to believe it would have two bedrooms. Please know that we have two choices, a room with a bedroom and...

I booked this hotel for 2 nights with myself and 3 children. If location is all that matters then book it. It's right across the street from the beach and has parking. It was advertised as a 2 queen bed suite so I upgraded to have 2 queen beds. It's actually a queen bed with a pull out sofa bed...

Knew experience was in trouble when Alex front desk person took out piece of paper and folded it around room credit card to make card sleeve and then wrote 110 room number on it. No place too park at hotel open parking for public in which you have to keep driving around to find a parking space blocks from hotel...

The lack of air-conditioning has been the major issue, and is finally being rectified with the renovation. Finally, there will be cool air after returning from a long day at the beach. I hope you will try us again at some other time. Also, I do wish we had a better alternative for the vending, and may move it to...

It's a bit run down, but we keep going back because of the location. Right by the water. Reasonable rates. Good restaurants within walking distance and very nice people in the office. We're going back in a few weeks.

This was our second year staying at Diamond Head Inn. If you are looking for location...you cannot go wrong!! Don't expect the Days Inn or Comfort Suits. This is a typical surfside motel...nothing fancy. Some tips...if you book a Queen Suite and are looking for two queen size beds, make sure you select the room with two queen beds. The...
