Hotel needs a facelift. Very old . For the price they charge the standards are low and hotel needs a facelift to appeal to people to stay there . Good location for San Diego . You can walk around easy .

We went to San Diego for shopping and to see a live play. We have stayed at this hotel several times and have always been impressed with the service, the breakfast and especially the location! When you walk out the front door you are conviently located in the farmer's market. The hotel is also close to the airport and harbor....

Don't stay here if your flight leaves before 8am. Shuttle does not run until 5:30am. We had to take a taxi. Rooms on freeway side are very noisy. We were not given a choice of rooms (and we are Hilton Honors members).

Recently stayed at the Doubletree and was really impressed with the accommodations and with the hotel staff, from the frontdesk person to the hotel maintenance staff, all were very nice and made me feel at ease.

I work for the federal gov't and my agency is very tight on funds for events that we host. For the past twelve years DoubleTree San Diego Downtown on Front Street has been by far the cheapest option for a venue in San Diego. The Catering and Group Reservation are very gracious and accommodating.

Friendly, personable, wonderful front desk staff. Amazing views of the city and harbor. Real balconies. Beautiful, modern lobby and access to computers. Small pool that was warm enough to be pleasant for this cold-natured human in spite of the 49 degree temperatures (or maybe that's because we went into the hot tub first)? All the things that come with the...

I'm a frequent traveler to San Diego and have tried most of the major brands' hotels. They've gone too far at this one in cost savings measures/inattentiveness to addressing weaknesses. This stay did nothing to inspire a loyalty return. Starting at check-in with a friendly greeting but an untrained clerk. On top of not knowing how to work the computer,...

Handy for a quick nights stay - beds are a little uncomfortable but for short stays, its fine. Employees very welcoming and helpful. Gym is small but ok. The airport shuttle is very handy and easy to find.

This is a great location, but seriously, park remotely. The signs in the parking garage say "Narrow" which is an understatement. Save yourself the headache and frustration. Pulling in is relatively simple, so don't be fooled. Once you're on the second floor, getting your car out is ridiculously difficult.

Convenient location near downtown SD, nice room, nice staff we had a great romantic couples night out. Will be staying here again next opportunity we get to "get away" from the kids and drive down the coast again.
