I have never stayed at Hilton that is overdue for remodeling by 20-30 years. The lobby, dining area, and furniture appear to be from the late eighties. Staff were never able to provide us with a fridge for our room after multiple request on multiple days (would have cost an additional $20 a night?).

Would definitely stay there again! The staff was great and friendly and the hotel was clean and conveniently located. Being a HH member has its perks but the staff made it worth the stay! Would stay there again!

My husband and I frequently stay at the DoubleTree when in San Diego. It's well located in the Little Italy area where there are many restaurants and businesses. Rooms are comfortable and there's a very good breakfast. The staff is friendly and efficient.

One of our least favorite hotels in the Hilton line. It just doesn't quite measure up in terms of amenities. The pool and jaccuzi are outside, and not kept as warm as one expects. The jaccuzi was about right for a swim, not for a jaccuzi. The front and back of this hotel are confusing. The back has an entryway...

From the check-in desk to the wait staff to housekeeping, everyone is trying their best to serve you well. There is no doubt of that! The hotel, however, needs some freshening up from furniture to TVs to carpeting. It just looks and feels used up. Many nice features including the gym and sauna on the 5th floor and free buffet...

First off the location is excellent. Little Italy is right there and that is just a perfect convenience. Short ride to airport as well. The hotel staff was excellent. The hotel itself (at least my room) was a bit dated. It was not by any means dirty it just was old. The wife is abysmal and for business travelers its...

Friendly staff, good rooms (nothing new), good breakfast, great location...Zero Internet however. They know it and choose to do nothing about it. Read more reviews and you will see that this is the case.

Upon check in, was unable to get my room as I didn't have a company credit card as the room had been already reserved and paid for by owner of my company. It wasn't so much the inconvenience of the situation as it was the attitude of the staff. They were extremely unhelpful and somewhat rude. It took two days...

This hotel is right on the border of Little Italy and convenient to all of the wonderful restaurants nearby. There is also a street fair and farmers market every Saturday that is just outside of the hotel.

For the price you charge per night, you should have refrigerators and microwaves in every room. I am a diabetic and carry Insulin with me, which needs to be refrigerated. I can't believe even being a Diamond member, we were charged an additional $20/day. Valet parking would be much appreciated. The narrow driveways in parking lot are horrible.
