I arrived in NY on a red eye flight from California and called the Mark for a reservation. It was my first time at the hotel and I chose it because I wanted to be on the upper east side. I CANNOT tell you how wonderful it was. The reservations agent was so patient as I dealt with an awful...

What a gorgeous hotel in a perfect location- could walk to great museums, shopping. Beautiful hotel bar and restaurant with impeccable service. Our room was spacious with a beautiful bathroom. Separate shower and tub, double sinks. Well appointed.

Our second visit but first for brunch. We all had different options and all were delicious. No issue with asking for minor amendments to any order. Absolutely great - do ask to sit in the atrium conservatory if dining in the day.

If you are familiar with Claridge's in London, this place will remember it . Defenetely more boutique'ish feeling, lobby is less grand, but attention to details, quality of food, general décor , is similar and outstanding. nothing too much trouble for the great concierge and reception Team , easily arranged shipping boxes and late check out. it is not cheap...

Welcoming and polished, the service is attentive and helpful, the rooms are well-appointed in a modern but traditional Manhattan style. It is near to most of the main museums, and half a block from the always enchanting Central Park. It is in a quiet location, sleeping and working in the rooms is easy.

I cannot explain how much I thoroughly enjoy my stays at The Mark with words--the hotel itself is gorgeous, the vibe is cool but without pretense, and the mini-bar...well, I have not seen a better one in the US yet. I think the room service and restaurant are both stupendous, and the staff is attentive, genuine, and have excellent follow...

I don't normally give a 5 star rating that easily - but this hotel definitely is worthy of it. Excellent customer service. Timmy went above and beyond for my partner and I during our short stay. Rooms are absolutely stunning. Absolutely love the marble bathroom (and its massive!) Very prompt with the housekeeping. Nice view out Madison Ave. Great location...

Had a tiny queen room on the back of the hotel. While much smaller than the price tag, it was adequate. The bathrooms in this hotel are the real star. Although I had the smallest room category, my bath was full size, the same as in their large suites. I have been fortunate to stay here before. The Jr Suites...

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
