We didnt realize how close this hotel was to Times Square and it was my sister's first visit here and we were so happy with the location. We loved the time piece by their reception and the amenities in their room. We also met Dee who actually brought up some treats for us and so sweet of her. There's parking garage in front and we also liked their lobby restrooms which smelled minty! We will come back for sure.

I booked a family vacation to NYC to celebrate my husband’s birthday (January 21-26, 2020). I initially booked a suite and room (for our adult son) at The W in Times Square (I’m a Lifetime Platinum Elite member). After reading so many negative reviews, I cancelled our reservations and found The Time NYC with excellent reviews AND NOT directly on Broadway (but close enough).

The Time did not disappoint! We loved the modern design touches throughout the public and room spaces. We had a Deluxe Suite (corner with lots of windows) and a Deluxe King Room next door on the 7th floor. We arrived early and Janitza was able to check us in immediately. The rate also included a continental breakfast, as well as an afternoon wine hour. We also used the Concierge services of Claudia in securing tickets to The Book of Mormon (theatre is NEXT door).

After spending our first afternoon exploring the city, we arrived back to the suite with a surprise birthday bottle of Prosecco and nice note from Dee, Gilbert, Janitza, and The Time Team. Many thanks to Josh, the Batman Bellman, for arranging a car for us back to LaGuardia on our last day. Every staff member we interacted with went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

We would definitely recommend others to stay in this centrally located, modern, but quiet hotel. Be sure to check out the fascinating clock at the Reception Desk. It will hypnotize you!

The hotel is situated 2 minutes from Time Square and is perfectly located for all the attractions . Although the hotel is in a busy street we experienced no noise issues. The hotel has modern facilities and is exceptionally clean but what really stands out is the staff. Everyone who we dealt with was super welcoming and helpful. The concierge Claudia ensured that we had all the information that we needed and gave us recommendations that were really useful. We ate breakfast at the hotel which consisted of lovely pastries, meats and eggs which was included in the room rate and was a great start to the day. In addition the hotel has a cheese and wine hour each evening in the lounge which is a lovely touch.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and I will definitely return next time I am in New York.

Rooms small, only continental breakfast which wasn’t what we expected on arrival as we added breakfast onto booking which was a waste because we didn’t eat anything there. Cleaners are very ignorant, they just walk in without knocking. Everything in the fridge is censored and it gives you no room to put your own things in the fridge and the prices for the items in there are ridiculous especially for someone who doesn’t drink alcohol, it was full of it. I mentioned at the start the room is small... I understand it’s a boutique hotel however they gave you no room to move, the bed was small and it was supposed to be a queen room (no where near a double never mind a queen size) nowhere to put clothes or cases so there was just piles of things everywhere. I have OCD and anxiety in small spaces and this was a total nightmare for me, felt like I couldn’t breath cause it was so small. They also didn’t offer any upgrades even if we would pay extra they declined us. Only good thing was the location. Apart from that not the best experience for my first time in NY ☹️

Loved this small, unique hotel. Great location just north of Times Square. Excellent access to public transportation. Funky cool public space. Guest room was great- we got a small suite for the price of a regular hotel room. Very comfortable king bed, nice bathroom and separate living room with a pull out couch (didn’t use) comfortable chairs and big tv. The only negatives were the continental breakfast is very very minimal and poor quality bread, bagels etc. coffee was horrible. Also cheese and wine hour was cheap wine and slices of cheese. Pretty poor. But for the price of the room alone it was great. CVS is right across the street for bottles of water (like $7 in the mini bar!) and snacks. Will stay here again!

Went up to NYC for the weekend to visit friends and stayed here. Location was great (in-between Hells Kitchen and Times Square). Even with its proximity to Times Square, it was quiet on 49th. The staff was friendly, especially Josh, and the cleaning crew. I had reserved a queen room but they upgraded me to a king and the room was a great size for a NYC hotel room. Some of my friends that were also staying there, met up with me for their Happy Hour at Legrande Lounge (2nd floor). They’re happy hour consisted of wine and cheese, which is part of their daily facility fee (so take advantage of it). The next morning we also grabbed the complimentary breakfast (also part of their daily facility fee) at Serafina (1st floor). The breakfast consisted of coffee, tea, yogurt, various pastries, and cereals. If you want additional items like eggs, bacon, pancakes, you’ll need to pay for them. The cleaning crew ere so friendly. I didn’t ask for my room to be cleaned but they asked me if I needed anything like new towels, more toiletries, etc. I said I was good but did ask for another body wash bottle, and they were happy to give me one.

My room was a good size (seemed to be like a regular hotel room size), which I know is uncommon for NYC. Other hotels that I have stayed at in NYC, the rooms have been on the smaller side. The room was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable.

The only downside is that Goldfinch (the coffee shop that is associated with the hotel) is still not open yet. And our first evening, one of the elevators ended up not working which caused long lines to get back to your room. Fortunately it only took them several hours to get it fixed.

I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in NYC!

This hotel was amazing, right off the back when we pulled up one of the workers, Miguel, immediately helped us get a cart and put all our luggage on it. He advised us on parking and helped us check in and proceeded to bring all our luggage up to the room for us. The room itself was spectacular too, very nice and roomy and veryyy modern, we loved the shower and the tv!! We also had amazing housekeeping as Tsultrim made it spotless and made sure everything was restocked! The location is also great because its a quick 5 minute walk to Times Square and subway stations that will take you all over the city! Loved the hotel and our experience 10/10!!!!

Our stay at The Time NYC was a first experience with this hotel. From booking to departure, this was one of the best hotel experiences in NYC that we have had. The concierge, Claudia, was very helpful even before we arrived, securing a handicap accessible room for us (wheelchair) and making excellent restaurant recommendations. The room was perfectly set up for a wheelchair bound guest, it was immaculate and very comfortable. The consideration extended to us, given my wife’s disability, was exceptional. The Time is perfectly located for theater-bound guests and is convenient to many major transit lines. The price was more than reasonable. We will certainly choose The Time when next in NYC!

First room had to move didn’t look or feel clean but main problem was a large broken tile in the floor of the shower which made the shower unusable.

Second room better and cleaner, however exposed wire in one of the bedside lights. Bathroom door needed adjusted as it caught on the tiles, shower handle kept falling off, I left it on the shower floor a few times and they kept setting it back on without fixing it (the holding screw is missing). Also no drawer stowage at all.

Sour Breakfast manager couldn’t even say good morning all he could say was breakfast tokens. Croissants stale, coffee awful.

Facility fees advertised as including wine and cheese between 5-6:30 Monday to Saturday forget about it.
Two medium drip coffees or hot tea per day at Golfinch or in room coffee machine again forget about it you won’t get it.

It’s an average hotel in an excellent position with some great staff ( the doorman/bellboy) and some awful staff Breakfast restaurant manager. One last thing be carful what amount they charge to hold against your credit card, in my case they added 100 dollars per day (500 dollars) to the total cost of the stay, this should have been 50 dollars a day. Although the bill was then paid using a different payment method there is still a charge blocked on my credit card of over £1300.

We arrived in NYC around 11pm, our first hotel (Washington Jefferson) was nothing like the pictures, after cancelling our stay & going to The Time, Emilio at the front desk instantly attended to us & was extremely exceptional. He made sure we knew where all the amenities were, concierge, & was very attentive & well mannered; He even called our room phone after we got settled in just to make sure we were all right. Manny (a director) also called our room & discounted our facility fees for our stay after hearing that we still hadn’t received our luggage from Frontier & were purchasing clothes/shoes every day. They literally have a door man that greets you with a smile every-time you walk in & out. I never write reviews, but these guys went above & beyond the whole NYC experience so I had to, if you’re looking for a truly stress free & enjoyable place to stay, stay here.
