I have been staying at this hotel for 7 years now. I am a business traveler and the staff and their accommodating service is outstanding. The rooms are wonderful and are generous in size. The front desk and bell staff are especially excellent. The neighborhood is fantastic, especially for a wine and food lover.

My wife and I stayed here for a week in March 2016, we were visiting our niece who lives nearby. Very welcoming staff, rooms were really nice, lovely bar area!! No complaints at all. We didn't eat here as we were out and about all over NYC!!

Excellent location. Excellent hotel. Extremely comfortable bed and the room was spacious. It was just before New Years Eve and the hotel was full, but we could not hear anyone else in the hotel. We will definitely stay here on our next get-away to the NYC.

This hotel offers a secluded private feeling in a great location for some of the best restaurants in the city. The staff, especially Jared, is incredibly accommodating. It is my home away from home. Stay there once and you will always want to go back.

This place was awesome. From the moment they took our car to valet it up to when they brought us to our room. They couldn't be more friendly and accommodating! Even had our car ready when we checked out

The room description on hotel.com said that the suite had a separate sitting area and the way it was phrased seemed to imply that there was at least a partial wall. Much to our dismay, the "separateness" was simply a bunch of hanging beads that did absolutely nothing to "separate" the two areas. I was extremely disappointed by this, especially...

Had a great one night stay. Check-in was smooth and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room (try to request a room as high up as possible) were soundproofed so you can't hear any of the LES traffic below. The industrial style looks really cool but may not be for everyone. The ceiling is an...

This was our second time staying in this hotel in NYC. Great location convenient to subway, countless restaurants and bars. Friendly staff and decent size, comfortable rooms. Great hotel for a fun weekend in the city.

We stayed here over the Holiday season and the cost I believe was slightly more than staying in midtown at a luxury hotel at the same time. However, we wanted to experience the East Side in a contemporary setting and chose to stay here instead. The view up on the high floors was very impressive. The room was their standard...

...not very well kept with partially disintegrating furniture. Stylish decor, very dark´ish, poor soundproofing, no tea/coffee making facilities, very low and short beds, breakfast, snacks and minibar overpriced, actually a rip off to charge $8 for a bottle of water in the room. Nice and friendly staff, although housekeeping knocks at your door as early as 8am if you do...

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At the epicenter of downtown Manhattan's vibrant New Renaissance in cuisine, galleries, live music clubs, and nightlife spots, the fun-defining SIXTY LES evokes the youthful spirit of its all-hours neighborhood-an indie-vibed district on display from nearly every Jim Walrod-curated suite's floor-to-ceiling windows. Andy Warhol's visage looks up from the scene-and-be-seen swimming pool's bottom, while gritty images by iconic photographer Lee Friedlander illuminate bedroom headboards. Step out into the street life and walk directly into the world-recognized New Museum or countless gastronaut destination spots. But guests need go no further than the vibrant award-winning Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya tavern and bar for Japanese cuisine and stellar cocktails, courtesy of foodie deities the Bromberg brothers. SIXTY LES is part of SIXTY Hotels, a new, innovative of luxury inns located in New York, Los Angeles, and debuting in Miami soon-ish. ... more   less
