I cannot say enough about this amazing little hotel. The space is gorgeous, the location is perfectly hip and convenient, the staff is friendly, it's QUIET (imagine that, in NYC), luxurious and more. Seriously, this was the best hotel experience I've ever had, (and I travel often)! Jared, at the front desk, was so great. I'd stay here over any...

If you like the action of the Lower East Side, you will love this hotel. It faces Allen Street which is much wider than most LES streets. We had great unobstructed views of freedom tower and al that surrounds it.

Location is Ideal, close to the Train and give you the true NYC experience. The Staff is helpful and nice. I travel to NYC once a month for work and will only stay at Sixty LES. Great views, clean rooms, perfect location and amazing staff.

Had to check out and leave this hotel at 11:30 pm the night we were to stay there. There were people partying in the hallway and repeated calls to the front desk and management did not improve the situation. A random man knocked on our door claiming to be housekeeping. He wasn't. The room was ok but temperature was freezing...

Waking distance to Soho shopping and Little Italy and Chinatown. The famas Katz , Russ & Daughters , Clinton Street Bakery are all within 5 minutes walking distance. I got upgraded to a King sized bed room and the size of the room is very spacious with New York Starndard. The bathroom is big with huge shower heads. There was...

A few months ago I started to plan how to pop the question =). I visited a few other hotels around the area. Unfortunately, none of them offered the same view, suite size, amenities, price and most importantly the courtesy and service level that Ms. Catherine Brin (front desk manager) showed during my quest. She definitely played a great role...

Upon entering Sixty Les the impression is of a small cool hotel. But the truth is located right next to a construction site that worked between the night of the 17-18 of February all night long. Noises from the multiple cement trucks that worked 24/7 made it impossible to sleep. Multiple cranes and trucks constantly driving in and out of...

It's a pretty dark, yet cosy hotel in a very nice area of New York. Rooms are ok. Not fantastic, but decent. Strange arrangements for lightning, TV etc. I missed a vibrant lobby. It has potential to be good but it had been much better wit a small bar or a coffee stand.

My 3rd visit to this little gem in this busy city. Great location with good size room . Check in with Jared was effortless, and staff happy to help with any questions, or directions. I would recommend.

We stayed at Sixty LES with our teenage daughters for a few days between Christmas and New Year's Eve. The hotel is clean and modern. The staff is friendly. We were not sure about staying on the Lower East Side, but absolutely loved the location. It is a quick subway or cab ride to Mid-town. When you are done touring...

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At the epicenter of downtown Manhattan's vibrant New Renaissance in cuisine, galleries, live music clubs, and nightlife spots, the fun-defining SIXTY LES evokes the youthful spirit of its all-hours neighborhood-an indie-vibed district on display from nearly every Jim Walrod-curated suite's floor-to-ceiling windows. Andy Warhol's visage looks up from the scene-and-be-seen swimming pool's bottom, while gritty images by iconic photographer Lee Friedlander illuminate bedroom headboards. Step out into the street life and walk directly into the world-recognized New Museum or countless gastronaut destination spots. But guests need go no further than the vibrant award-winning Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya tavern and bar for Japanese cuisine and stellar cocktails, courtesy of foodie deities the Bromberg brothers. SIXTY LES is part of SIXTY Hotels, a new, innovative of luxury inns located in New York, Los Angeles, and debuting in Miami soon-ish. ... more   less
