Our experience at the Hampton Inn Manhattan-Empire State Building could not have been more satisfying! The location is great, situated just steps away from a subway station! The hotel is well appointed, very clean, quiet and a great value. The hotel staff was absolutely delightful! We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone!

Excellent location, great staff, affordable for mid-town Manhattan. I could see the Empire State Building out my window as well as Herald Square. Times Square just a 9 minute walk away. Hotel is just fine. I'm glad we stayed there.

Stayed here for 5 days in Feb, was my first and definitely not last trip to new York. Hotel is in a great position to get everywhere, subway 2 mins away, empire state very near. Free breakfast was good, we always got a table and didn't find it overly busy. We had a room with 2 double beds and it...

My stay here was pleasant and uneventful, especially given that we arrived just before a major winter storm! All aspects of the visit were a breeze from check-in to checkout. I found the location to be convenient to several landmarks (Empire State, Grand Central, Chrysler, Time Square) to get in some tourist time.

booked a room for a family of 3 with our bulldog as well. Told all was ok. Checked in to be told that the dog cannot be left unattended for any period of time in the room. Really? Doesn't say so on the site - nor when I called to speak with someone to be assured we get a pet...

I enjoyed our trip to NYC but the hotel was very small. The rooms are small and barely can accommodate two people. No stow away for luggage and no space for movement. Its not worth the price. Breakfast was average but they have friendly and courteous staff.

It was ok. No refrigerator. So small you had to go outside to turn around. No parking. The hotel staff did not bother to tell me that parking validation/discount was an option and I am Hilton Honors for 20 years.

This hotel was clean, friendly, close to Empire State building, Metro Station and many of the sites! We were pleasantly surprised by the rooms, although not spacious and do not offer couches or refrigerators, the beds and pillows were comfortable. We didn't visit New York City to hang out in a hotel room... it was perfect for sleeping! 19th floor...

The location and photos looked promising, but the reality was much different during our stay. The room was tired looking, lamp shades had holes in them and the HVAC just wasn't working well. The thermostat was set on 71 degrees, but it felt like 60. When we turned it up to 72, the room felt like it was 80. Once...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
