We loved the inn. It was like staying at a friend's house. We got an spacious room, all clean and comfortable. The dinning room was nice and sunny in the morning where we enjoy a varied and nice breakfast. The location is amazing!!! We will certainly loved to be back.

We've stayed at the Townhouse Inn twice now and definitely plan to return. It is a great location and very close to a subway station. Eric was super friendly and accommodating. We have loved our rooms both times, and the continental breakfast is great. Fresh pastries from a French bakery across the street - yum!

Easy to find, nice townhouse, perfect location to move around walkable to all our interests, breakfast & wifi in our reservation. Loved the bar for take the breakfast or just chilling. Good value for money.

Great B&B with large rooms and nice room for continental breakfast. Centrally located and convenient to Sixth Seventh and Eighth Ave subways. Eric is a very helpful proprietor. Rooms are quiet and large for NYC

Had a lovely time staying with Eric at The Townhouse Inn, Chelsea. Ideally situated to explore both Downtown Manhattan and close to The Highline and The Hudson River. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The continental breakfast was good with tasty fresh bagels and croissants. Would definitely recommend. Good value for money.

I'll do the good first. Great location. Not too expensive. Very, very large rooms. Pretty good complimentary breakfast. Distinct property ... no two rooms the same ... kind of an art deco thing. Bed a reasonably comfortable. Having said that ... There is no staff on property at night. Let's pretend your toilet didn't work and it overflowed the bathroom...

I stayed at the Townhouse Inn for 5 nights while in NYC for a conference because it was convenient to the venue and I prefer smaller hotels. I was very pleasantly surprised with how spacious and quiet my room was (room 52 I think). I could have done a full yoga set in the spare room on the floor, and...

Poor service marred what otherwise would have been a pleasant stay in a charming and well-situated place. Our room was large, clean and quiet. However we soon found problems - ghost flushing toilet, a trickle at best of hot water from the tap, a tub that did not drain. None of these were horrific. The frustration was the absence of...

The feel and operation of the Townhouse Inn is very pleasant; a little urban and a little cozy at the same time. Location is ideally situated to subway stations and a number of attractions in the area. Staff was very friendly and resolved any concerns as soon as they became aware of them.

Adorable accommodation which was a complete surprise. In the middle of New York City, we found this place warm and welcoming, charming, quaint and so relaxed, completely the opposite of the outside hustle and bustle. Both Eric's on the front desk were polite and welcoming. Our room was quaint, had a working air conditioner, a space heater to warm up...

“Don't book a room at this hotel.”
  • Broken furniture (or maybe dumpster dive
  • We're not FANS of dust build-up (enjoy the snow machine)
  • Welcome to your suite (don't bother covering this one up with the faux sheep skin)
  • SHOKINGLY horrendous (Don't like the clanking radiator? But still want heat?)
  • Just gross (carpet everywhere looked like this)
  • Torn blankets (or, another dumpster dive score?)
  • Carpeted lights? Carpeted with dust, that is.
  • Thought we would be looking at a painting, not a carving
