I visited the Carvi hotel on the 5/12/16 for a week. The hotel is quite small but located midtown so near all the main tourist attractions. The room was nice and spacious and cleaned daily with a flat screen TV. The staff were very helpful recommending restaurants and things to do and giving little tips. I find when in New...

Our bedroom didn't have windows! I confess that not having natural light was weird, but there was AC (blessed! So important in the summer!), a nice size bedroom, so it was ok. The staff was nice, the location was good, I'd probably go back. There's a Starbucks close by, perfect for breakfast. There was a computer in the reception you...

Dear portuguesas, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for the 4*rating. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and it is true that we are a small hotel, especially compared to most in NYC. However, this may also be an advantage as we get to know most of our guests and have...

I got a fantastic rate under $100 a night in Midtown manhatten. a few blocks from Blooming dales one way and a few blocks from the Walrdorf the other way. Restaurants and Bars galore.. The hotel is quite discreet in appearance. There is one person at the desk, Ive met all of them and they are very very nice. The...

When my sister and I checked in the staff was so friendly and offered us information about anything that we could need in the immediate area. The room was very clean and nice. This wasn't a problem for me but there are no real closets so keep that in mind. All of all it was a great experience.

Good service, confortable room and well located hotel. And with a fair price. What we liked best was the very good location of the hotel combined with a fair price. There were nothing special that we have liked least. The hotel is good and we will recommend for our friends.

My Husband and I stayed here for a short trip to NYC for our honeymoon! I had read a lot of reviews and decided to give this boutique hotel a try. Before our arrival I spoke with the staff about transportation from Newark to the hotel and a gentleman was very kind and set up a shuttle service along with...

The people make this hotel stay a pleasure. Most helpful all the time. Location is perfect for all tourist attractions and nice restaurants. We had an executive room which was quite big and quiet on floor 4. The only gripe would be not enough hanging space in wardrobe for longer items, especially if staying for long stays. Would definitely stay...

I recently spent a week at the Carvi Hotel. Nicely located on east 55th St, this small hotel has clean and quiet rooms, not large but bigger than one would expect for a hotel in this price range. Lots of restaurants nearby, about a half hour walk from the theatre district. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to...

I stayed for 3 nights over Christmas with my son (5). The hotel is quiet and the front desk staff very nice. No general lounge area to speak of. We did not attempt to go to the roof garden in this weather. It was clean and everything worked as expected. The room had a small fridge and there were some...

Dear MLR531, Thank you for taking some time to write us a review. It is good to hear that the noise level was low as this is not easy to achieve in many locations throughout the city. You are right, we may not have as much pizzazz but I hope we made up for it in other ways. It is...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

“My room did not have a view and looked out at the very close next door building. I didn't mind this as I was only there at night and I liked being off the street (for the noise!) but this might not be to everyone's liking (also makes it dark in the room) so you might want to ask about your room location. ”
