We have stayed here several times. It has always been notable for being clean and elegantly furnished. Amazingly convenient to sites downtown and only steps from subway stop. Most impressive is the friendly and helpful staff!
I was in town for my daughter-in-law’s baby shower. My first grand-baby! I was very happy with my king suite and spacious balcony. Modern design; aesthetically pleasing. The location is convenient - walking distance to 911 museum; Battery Park; and surrounded by restaurants. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The front desk staff (my car was ready and waiting for me and I didn’t need to call for a reminder); the guys at the door, Bart and the night porter, and the young man who assisted with my bags when I checked out - they are one reason the Smyth stands out from the rest!! Can’t wait to return.
Lovely terrace room in Tribeca. Lobby bar is nice. Parking difficult. No hot water two mornings, bell staff service was poor (said they would get ice and disappeared after being tipped, slow to respond), elevators not functioning one evening, and general staff attitude was you were inconveniencing them if you asked for anything. Lots of options downtown and I will not return.
Lilia and everyone at the front desk was so kind and friendly. We were in town for several weeks and everything was wonderful. We (and our dog) miss them very much— made us feel so at home. I hope we can come back soon.
The Smyth is a very lovely and beautiful hotel! The staff is very friendly and attentive. The brightest and best part of my experience at this hotel is a gentleman named XAVIER! To say that he was extremely helpful would be an understatement!! This awesome young man is a true lifesaver! I will be planning another trip soon and I wouldn’t think of going to any other hotel because of his care, attentiveness, helpfulness, accommodations and service.
I stayed at Smyth on recommendation from friends and I was impressed at every moment. Arriving at hotel, the door was opened and luggage handled, the lobby smelled fantastic as did the halls and rooms and after smells of city streets, cabs and subwsys that is so welcoming. Bo, front desk, was super welcoming and sent me texts to make sure everything was to my needs …towels, turndown etc …truly exceptional customer service! My room was lovely and quiet and way more spacious than places I have stayed before. The hotel has a great location for subway connectivity as well as good eating close by. I will definitely stay here again.
The entire team is excellent. My request for a car service to and from the airport was handled professionally and efficiently by Mario. He always gave us a genuine and warm welcome whenever we returned to the hotel. Robert, Bo and Bart were always helpful! There was another doorman but I don't know his name. He promptly got us a taxi when there was a glitch with the car service. Thanks to him we made it on time to my nephew's graduation. As someone who has been in customer service, the team here is one of the best I have ever encountered!
My two sons, wife and I had a marvelous stay at the Smyth Tribeca last weekend. We were afforded a wonderful upgrade to a suite and the hotel is elegant, understated, very quiet, and right in the middle of the real residential neighborhood section of Tribeca. Two blocks from Zuckers bagels, Odeon, and a couple more to Frenchette and Weather Up. What more could you ask for? Staff is efficient and kind.
Had a great stay at Tribeca. Got a room upgrade. The location was close to subway and room was very clean. I also want to say a special thanks to Lilia Palatsky, Operations Manager at the hotel. I forgot my jacket at the hotel and kind of panicked, since this promised me lots of lost time trying to figure out the logistics of getting it back. Lilia actually found my jacket and personally sent it to me to San Francisco. I really appreciate this kind of customer loyalty and devotion. Will visit the hotel again.
The hotel is lovely, the rooms are spacious, the staff are friendly, and the location is perfect for lower Manhattan. The hotel also has a well equipped gym with Peloton bikes. My only criticisms are these: Someone who had access to my room stole $50 in cash. The lobby and halls have an extremely overpowering floral scent. A deranged homeless person threw a chair through a window across the street while I was walking to the nearby market. New York’s so-called finest were..um…not to be found.
