Check-in starts at 16:00. But, we were lucky to be able to check-in at around 13:00 after a long flight. Hotel staff were polite and helpful. Hotel is located iN Chinatown - not the best location but convenient way to get to Manhattan as the subway (East Broadway) is only two blocks from the hotel. Free coffee at the lobby....

This place wasn't terrible (see positive aspects below); however, a lack of sleep due to noise probably made it worse than it seemed. While thick windows minimized the quintessential NYC street clamor, the door to our room did little to block out the noise from the corridor. This either kept us awake during the night or woke us early in...

Dear Brendan, Thank your for taking the time to review your stay we appreciate your comments. I am happy to let you know that your main complaint has been on our renovation list and that currently all our rooms are outfitted with sound guards so there will be no more of the noise issue that you mentioned. These sound guards...

Ok so this was a 93 dollar priceline special so what should we expect. The room was like a broom cupboard and smelled of smoke. There were numerous cigarette burns in the night stand and people were smoking pot in adjacent rooms and the smell was awful. The front desk staff just kept repeating that this was a non smoking...

This hotel was a good value for its cost, and exceeded my expectations. Our superior room was clean, comfortable, and quiet; we were on the corner and had nice views from our windows. The room was on the smaller side but could definitely accommodate two people. Overall I really liked the decor and look of the hotel. The shower was...

This is a very clean place and very affordable in comparison with anything else in the city. It is close to train stations and great food all around. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The only complain I have is that the heater was off on our floor the first 2 days we were there. Not a huge deal...

Small, clean and inexpensive; what else do you need in NYC. This is a no frills establishment that offers you the necessities for an overnight stay in the city. The subway is a few blocks away and the area is safe. This is my new go to when staying in NYC.

I booked the room well in advanced. At arrival appeared the first problem, the price per room was higher than the price included in the reservation. In small letters it was stated that taxes were not included. The room was small, old and unclean. There is a lot of noise, even during the night, due to the traffic of the...

Hi Gonzalo, Sorry to hear what happened during your stay. Fortunately, we are the new management company that took over the hotel at this location late August so the property is totally different now. As a service to you, we did report the former hotel for this to Tripadvisor. Please be assured also that there is no issue of noise...

Yes, the hotel staff is Very friendly and very helpful. Yes, the room was small with a queen size bed and just enough room to walk around it. No closet, but there was a place to hang a few things. The bed was very nice. The furniture was decent. The carpeting was really terrible but seemed clean. There were worn...

I love this hotel. The rooms are minimal in size and the beds aren't soft but the rooms are very, very clean and the bathrooms are updated. The staff is friendly and professional. I stay here all the time because I love chinatown. I used to stay in the LES but since it's being heavily gentrified it's too pricy for...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
