Location and breakfast are great. We were unfortunate to be charged by both the hotel and Agoda. Receiving the refund drags on and on. Hotel claims that Agoda did not communicate properly, so they just charge the credit card... I find this totally unprofessional. Successive calls to get the reservation off the card lead to delays and procrastination. Very dissatisfied!

Located about a 5 minute walk from Times Square and only about 2 minutes from the subway which was very convenient. Breakfast tasted good but was extremely crowded unless we were down there before 7am. The room was small but this is NYC after all. Unfortunately the room was not the cleanest by Hampton Inn standards. Soiled carpet and mildew...

Stay was fair could have been much better if time was spent getting to know customer. No matter time front desk always seemed rushed and unorganized. Called for extra towels and took absorbant amount of time

The elevator was non-functional at this hotel for several days. We were not compensated at all for the delays. The problem was not fixed by the time we departed. Management kept telling us the elevator was fixed when it was not. We were told we could not move to another hotel because we prepaid. We were only released after clarifying...

Little sympathy from hotel staff for the sleepless nights that we had because our room was next to the noisy lift. On our first night we complained that we were up due to the noise lify only to be told that we were the only people that complained. in the lift on the 27yh 3 other families complained. The hotel...

Stayed here 3 nights before Christmas. Rooms are tiny but well appointed. No bathtubs - only shower. This was fine for us but could be an issue for people with small kids. Elevators were sooooo slow and overcrowded. Only one of the two elevators worked consistently during our stay. Recommend you stay on a low floor so you can use...

Good location to walk around in midtown, only a block from 42th st. subway station. Staff were excellent, when we arrived our assigned room was not ready, I asked for a higher floor room and the staff was happily arrange that for us. The bed was comfortable. They offer enough varieties of breakfast and the best thing was they offer...

Only 2 Elevators. Long waits @ 10 minutes.. On last day one broke down. Needed to walk up 8 flights. Other guests had to climb more flights. Free breakfast, but OK . You get what you pay for. Coffee decent. Room was clean and friendly staff.

Easy to walk to Times Square and also to Chelsea. Also, two subway stops 1 block away so you can easily get anywhere with minimal transfers. Loved Scallywags Irish Pub around the corner for a quick bite and drink. Close to everything but a little off the main drag for quiet.

No complaints except you have to eat breakfast very early due to the space being very small. There were 2 elevators and every morning it was packed we had to wait at least 15 to 20 min. The food was ok kind of cold but acceptable.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
