I booked this hotel for a one-night stay with a friend for a girls' weekend. Based on the reviews, I expected small rooms, so I made sure to reserve a "larger" room -- which was still small, but not ridiculously small. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean, and it was quiet. The staff was very pleasant and...

Stayed at the Distrikt Hotel for 5 nights in July - from the moment we entered the Hotel the customer service was excellent. This was our first time to New York and the staff were helpful with all my questions and happy to give advice - always with a smile!. The location of the Hotel for us was perfect -...

Very comfortable bed, quiet room (heard very little outside of our room). Clean, very adequate for our 3 night stay, and close to the things we needed. The staff was very helpful, friendly, but somewhat inexperienced. They gave us misinformation about transportation to the airport by bus...we assumed being across the street from the Port Authority Bus Station they would...

The Distrikt Hotel exceeded all expectations that we had. The service was impeccable! My husband and I arrived a few hours earlier than expected and yet the staff welcomed us in immediately and verified that our room was clean and ready -- and clean it was! As described in other reviews, we received a welcome letter and brownie as well...

I was looking through a hotel around Penn station and this hotel stood out because it was one of the top 10 hotels in NYC and the price was very decent. I booked Grand view king and it has a partial view of Hudson. The window is on the smaller side but you still have a good view. The room...

My daughter and I stayed at the Distrikt Hotel for 4 nights. On arrival the staff made us feel very welcome. We went straight to our room which was the same as the picture (lovely) very clean. Great air con, free safe, tea & coffee and dressing gowns and great hair dryer, (ask for adapter for straighteners). What more could...

My husband and I traveled to NYC for our 5 year wedding anniversary. We were kindly welcomed when we arrived around noon and they held our bags while we went out and explored in nearby Times Square. They were very helpful when we had questions or concerns, and they even brought up an adorable hand drawn card and a dessert...

I had pretty high expectations based on the reviews on TA, and I was not disappointed. This is not a luxury hotel, but I am giving it a 5 out of 5 because it was really a flawless stay. 1. I called a day in advance to request a quiet room; I would be driving back to Ohio the day...

What a fantastic hotel! First the location is perfect, 2 min walk to restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacy and (the highlight) Cake Boss, plus only five more mins walk to the heart of Times Square. We also walked to Grand Central Station, the Public Library which were all walkable distances from the hotel. The staff are amazing and from the moment...

Let start with the location - on 40th between 8th & 9th, very conveniently located near MANY great restaruants (try Capizzi's for the pizza - AWESOME !!), a few Diners nearby (for breakfast) and a great coffee place around the corner on 9th (that's not a SB's). You may have read that the hotel is near the bus station (and...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
