Did not meet expectations. Rooms are in deep need for an upgrade. Carpet had spots in it, looks like it wasn't vacuumed for a while, also for some reason, there were spots (wine maybe?) on the walls. Shower head and faucet were loose, and water pressure was nonexistent. Room had no safe which is very inconvenient. Also, had to almost beg to get housekeeping. Front desk staff were very helpful and courteous, but sadly will never return.
The hotel is within a five minute walk of three subway stations so well-located for getting around. It is a smaller hotel so no long corridors and doesn’t feel too impersonal, free chilled water in refillable bottles available on every floor, The beds were very comfortable though the room was quite warm. Bathroom was a bit dusty and housekeeping could be better. Coffee maker provided in rooms as well as complimentary teas and coffees in reception. This is not a wow hotel but provides a good, reasonably prices base for business or leisure travellers. There is an open roof terrace on the 20th floor where you can take your own food and drink (during hours when the bar is not open). A nice quiet base away from the crowded hustle and bustle of Times Square and mid-town, five minute walk to Battery Park for Statue of Liberty etc.…
The hotel is in a great location with a very convenient parking garage next door. The price point is perfect too. However, there are some drawbacks. We’ve stayed here twice. Our first time was good but we were given a room that had a strange musty smell. The second time we stayed, we checked in and were told that we prepaid the room (which we did). Upon checkout we were told we didn’t pay and they charged us twice. After sending over the confirmation details and dealing with the credit card company, the staff kept putting us on hold and wouldn’t resolve the extra charge. We tried calling and emailing multiple times but were ignored. Felt like I was getting scammed! We won’t be returning.
The hotel was friendly and the room was spotless with everything we needed, we had a beautiful view from our room and the roof top bar opens in the evenings serving beautiful cocktails with a spectacular view. The hotel was ideally situated beside the 911 memorial site, plenty of restaurants and bars near by and an easy walk to the financial district, Brooklyn bridge and Battery park. The subway stations are very close by so getting around couldn’t be simpler.
The hotel and location was good. The room was ok although the king bed was a little short and there was no nightstand on one side of the bed (odd but hotel confirmed is normal!). There was no safe box nor mini fridge as well. To get breakfast you need to get out of the hotel as you can only find coffee at the lobby in the morning.
Location is excellent! Anything else not worth the money. Very disappointed to see how these places making money on 9/11 tragedy. Rooms needs urgent TLC. Felt dirty, wardrobe had very weird smell and all our clothes smelled like it after. Bed so soft uncomfortable. AC/Heating did not work. Internet keep getting disconnecting. Rooms has a little kitchen without nothing in it. You have to call room service each time you want cup or spoon or anything and it takes ages for them to bring. Sometimes no one even answers the front desk. Housekeeping was terrible, left dirty carpet and cups. Last thing is front desk 2 gentleman working there with not very nice attitude. Honestly the money we paid for 3 nights it’s painful for what we experienced in this hotel. You do get bottles water refills all over the hotel which is a great idea. On 20th floor is a bar with the beautiful views but again service was terrible and cocktails terrible!…
Really enjoying this Hotel...and have to say..its the staff who are making it so special for us! Dawn, a huge thanks to you especially, you know why! You went above and beyond to make my birthday stay here so special...and so, a huge thank you for that!
I’d give the World Center high marks on almost everything: staff was attentive, the room was clean, no noise problems. But the bathroom: no. There was a showerhead in the corner, surrounded by a faded plastic curtain on a broken track. It never closed properly. It left a pool of water on the floor that never drained. I’m not going back.
I had read some negative reviews, bet in my opinion they were wrong. All the staff were really friendly and attentive. The wifi was perfect. The breakfast which is ordered in, was fantastic. We had superior queen room with a view of the memorial and it was perfect. Really impressed
Stayed in the World Center Hotel in September, Had 9 rooms booked as part of a family get together, all the rooms were amazing, absolutely stunning views, Krystin and all the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Water filters on all the floors were a great bonus. Hotel is the perfect location, away from all the hustle and bustle and noise of midtown but close to the subway so getting around was so easy. Highly recommend this hotel
