The IC in Times Square is a perfect 4 Star hotel. Upgraded me as a platinum ambassador to a king sky view. The room is average size for nyc , not too small like some of the other hotels I’ve visited in the city.

We booked 3 rooms at the Intercontinental to celebrate my mother-in-law's 70th and brother-in-law's 40th birthday's. Upon arrival, we were told that even though we are SPG Platinum members, they didn't have enough rooms to upgrade us all but after further conversations with the manager...More

I visited here recently with my daughter and husband. The hotel is in a great location, not right in Times Square but a very short walk away, and far enough away from the madness of Times Square.

Overall, I liked the hotel and would recommend it. The things I did not like:
1. Ketchup like stain on the headboard
2. Very sensitive hot water knob in bathroom sink. Would hardly turn it on and was coming out scorching hot even though cold...More

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

We seemed to experience all seasons in our 5 days - arrived to dry, warmish weather, next day was freezing but dry, then there were thunder storms and weather warnings, then dry but cold again...last day was boiling!! We were there 14th-19th April so be prepared for any weather. I did check the forecast before leaving at it was pretty accurate for a change.
