It's not a bargain but this is mid-town NYC. The location cannot be beaten, right on 5th Avenue and just a few minutes walk from both Grand Central Station and Times Square. The rooms are surprisingly spacious with large windows. Very hi-tec features for the sound system, lighting, blinds and curtains. On arrival, the bathroom floor needed some cleaning but...

Loved this hotel! Room was bright, spacious, had wooden floors that gave the feel of a NY loft! Enjoyed the breakfasts in the restaurant. Area was quiet, private and within walking distance to almost everywhere! Perfect location across the NY Public Library on one end and Grand Central on the other!

Great location and great room but our trip started badly when we arrived from a 7 hour flight to be told our room wasn't ready we didn't get checked in till 5.15 pm with no facilities to shower and change for our meeting . The shower in our was fancy but impossible to regulate the temperature which is hugely annoying...

first room had a stained couch which was beyond dirty. Comforter was stained inside which could not be seen unless it was pulled back. Manager named Sam switched our room . New room had stained sheets(I have photos). No cups for the coffee machine and never got fresh towels for day two. Asked for a late check out and was...

Great hotel. Great service. The amenities were great. Our room was on a busy street and still relatively quiet. I only wish we hadn't been given a handicap accessible room. I am tall and I didn't like the extra layer of short.

My wife and I just returned from a combination business trip/mini vacation in NYC, staying at the Andaz Fifth Ave for 5 nights. We travel to NY several times a year, always staying at high end properties so our expectations are high. This was our first stay at this property, but it definitely will not be the last. From check-in...

You will hear midtown's loud urban noise in your room all night, so bring earplugs, but realizing that - this is a great place to stay in midtown. Friendly helpful staff. One long block from a Whole Foods. No coffee maker or tea kettle in room. Fantastic breakfast onsite including room service. We booked a Loft suite in the north...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
