I am a fan of modern style but the W has terrible service in the US so I tend to avoid that chain. The Element chain however combines the modern style with friendly service in my experience and this hotel matched that expectation. The staff,...More

Stayed here after a nightmare experience at another New York hotel.
Upon hearing my plight the staff here couldn't have been more helpful and gave me an upgraded room on the 39th floor with a view to die for.
I found the hotel staff courteous...More
We stayed at this hotel for a weekend in October. We had a room on the 40th floor.
The room itself was nice, with a mini kitchen and fridge, which was helpful with a baby.

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

I really don’t know but ask. I’m sure they will try and accommodate especially if you have a medical or other reason. To be fair though, nearly 90% of the accommodation is above the 5th floor, so you might struggle. It’s accommodation is vertical and it only has 3 lifts. We waited once, maybe twice for a lift for 5 minutes, and we had one slow descent with multiple stops in a 5 day stay. I would go there again but knowing to avoid those times. It’s not high end, is it what it is and it’s good for the money in my opinion. You just need to make it work for you.
Good luck and happy travels :-)
