After reading previous reviews was more than apprehensive but me and my partner are open minded as we have read things on here in the past and had a different experience. Check in We arrived early at 12.45, no one in line I went to the front desk and spoke with shafiq/shahid? I'm sorry I can't remember your name and...

Just returned from a 6 night stay at the Hotel Pennsylvania. Having read some of the reviews we were expecting a lot worse than we experienced. Yes, it is pretty basic and in need of some modernisation and generally a cost of paint throughout and some new carpets, but we found our room (427) clean and tidy with a comfortable...

This was my second time staying here in three years...love it purely for the location and it's cheap! It's not a hotel that u would spend hours relaxing in and if that what ur looking to do then New York is not the place to be! Macys right beside hotel..empire couple blocks away..madison square gardens directly across the road aswell...

I spent 3 nights in this place while on a business trip because my boss wanted me to stay someplace cheaper than my previous 4-star Sheraton. We saved $100 a night and all I can say, is you get what you pay for. First, this is a hotel is in a great location being next to Penn Station, Madison Square...

After reading the reviews on here I was slightly dreading the hotel, but actually it wasn't as bad as expected. It was fairly cheap considering where we was located - right in the heart of New York. We had a great view of the Empire State Building from our room which to be honest was the best bit about the...

Roaches in hotel So dirty. So mortified by the condition this hotel should be inspected and shut down it is not up to code on fire safety or cleanliness. Definitely a terrible place to stay. Over priced and not worth the stay.

The location was the best thing about this hotel--It all started very bad, arriving at 9:30pm on a Friday night with only 2 people working the front desk. There were also 4 individual check-in kiosks that weren't working either :( We waited in line to check-in for 2 hrs 55 mins--very pissed off, after 10 hrs traveling !! No consolations...

Please never stay in this hotel! The rooms are atrocious and not very clean. We found a large dead cockroach under one of the beds. The hotel needs to be demolished are refurbished. Hotel service is not very desirable either. The third room we stayed in had at least a better carpet, but the bathroom was disgusting. See attached photos.

It was the worst they're unorganized, the staff is rude! And the rooms are literally from 1919 it's scarey, I was in my room I pulled back the blanket it had a big stain on it. They totally need to upgrade! I don't recommend anyone to stay here.

This grand old lady is almost a hundred years old. Really. Over the years, she has suffered half baked "updates". In the current incarnation, this is a very basic, relatively clean place to get your head on a pillow at a (for NYC) reasonable price. The property is perfectly located for events at Madison Square Garden, and is immediately across...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
