I highly recommend this hotel, not only because of its centralized Manhattan location, but for the awesome service we received during our stay. The hotel itself is ok, but the staff was very helpful. Special shout-out to Quasim and McKenzie for going the extra mile for us. They were there whenever we have a question or concern. We look forward...

I was in Dylan Hotel for 3 nights. The room comfortable, big beds perfects, the closet ok too and the bathroom excellent. The room every day clean like the first day. The staff of reception very kind and profesional, and what a coincidence, one of them is from my country, Catalonia. Monica was very efficient and recommended some places to...

The check in experience was terrible. Front desk was arguing with some person for 20 minutes before he could spare me some time. I was charged for the breakfast which was supposed to be included as part of my reservation. When i called to inquire about this charge, the Accounts department seems to be unresponsive. avoid this.

I had a pre-paid room for three nights with guaranteed, and verified, late arrival. I showed up after midnight (as I told them before). The reception was sitting empty with no one in sight. I was calling out trying to find someone, eventually a joker shows up who laughingly tells me there are no more rooms. I think he is...

Its unfortunate because this hotel is in a great location! However the Dylan needs to weary. With the amount of other hotel options available in and around this area customers simply don't need to accept the shortcomings of this hotel. Currently, as a couple or family forget it.....there are much better options for the same money. My personal experience. The...

We stayed April 14-23. We booked on a third party website and pre-paid. Two days after checking in, I noticed we were double charged for the room on our credit card. When talking to the staff at the front desk, they couldn't do anything and had to talk to a manger. When we came back later in the day to...

Several days ago my wife and I stayed at the Dylan Hotel NYC. It was very convenient location-right in the center of New York City where we could walk to Times Square, Empire State Building, NY Public Library... It also was very helpful that right on the corner was a Starbucks. And it wwas next to The Benjamin Steakhouse -high...

Easy in an out, well maintained hotels and larger than average rooms for Manhattan standards. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of eating options just around the block. Grand Central is a great place to hang out when the weather is bad, including a chance to walk about

Arrived on Friday end of March, and seriously question why I booked this place. From pictures and other reviews I guessed it would have been good. Or decent at least, but no I wouldn't come back to this place. I entered and no one noticed me despite two people behind the reception. One girl barely spoke English and didn't understand...

Central location, but still in an area that's not too noisy and busy. The service was good and I found all staff to be friendly and helpful. Would stay again and recommend to others. I found we got a lot of value for the price. It's an excellent spot to explore NY from and the room was more than comfortable.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Dylan Hotel in Manhattan unites tradition and modernity exquisitely and with a contemporary elegance that captivates our guests. The building is very emblematic, first having been the residence of the Welsh writer, Dylan Thomas, and later the headquarters of the New York Pharmacists Club. The Dylan Hotel combines the classical lounges and guest rooms of the period with ambiances and areas in contemporary design. We are a non-stop hotel, because the Big Apple never stops. For this reason, the gym and the business centre are open 24 hours a day. ... more   less
