Just returned from a trip to NYC with my husband and two boys 8 and 14. The Benjamin had all the fundamentals spot on ... relaxed, friendly and helpful staff, wonderful bed, great shower. We had a little kitchen with fridge, sink microwave so we could give the kids breakfast every morning. The housekeeping is unobtrusive but your room is...

My husband and I were invited unexpectedly to a family event in NYC and had to make last-minute arrangements. The Benjamin popped up on Hotel Tonight and we booked with no real expectations. I have to say we were really pleasantly surprised. First and foremost, absolutely everyone we encountered on the hotel staff was incredibly friendly and professional. The hotel...

We stayed here for 6 nights. Have stayed in many NYC hotels, and this one was one of the best for staff, room size to price and amenities. That being said, there were a few not so great things: shower had rust stains and bathroom small, staff at The National could have been a bit more generous. When we ordered...

Had a great couple of days here while on business. Room was good and staff very attentive and responsive. The doorman Jaime was particularly good with great tips about locations and sites to visit. All sound stuff I must add. Would love to return.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite at the benjamin so there family could stay together. The room was less than $400 and came with a microwave and refrigerator. Well furnished. Close to radio city, central park and Madison avenue but father from the theater district. Can be easily reached on the E subway from Penn station. There staff was...

Friendly and courteous staff, the rooms are nice, but small. We'd stay here again, this isn't for a budget conscious traveler. It is in a decent location. I like how walkable it is from here to restaurants, and many of the D.C. sights but is is off the beaten path still which makes it an A+ in my book.

The Benjamin Fun, stylish hotel with one of the best concierge in the business. Ask Anya any request and she will enthusiastically rise to the challenge. Well located and glamorous with a buzzy bar and good food. Expect a warm welcome to NYC at The Benjamin.

We just came back from a lovely weekend at The Benjamin. We were visiting for our 8th Anniversary. I emailed the hotel one week prior to our arrival and when we arrived to check in on Friday they had upgraded us and we were able to get the room right away (11am). It was a very spacious suite with a...

The property is centrally located and you can easily walk to 'many' areas for food, enjoyment. The walk to Times Square was great and included sites such as St. Patrick's Cathedral, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center. The hotel is clean, has a great atmosphere, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The Concierge's assistance was spot on. The National...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

“I asked for a room on a lower floor so I could just walk downstairs and not have to wait for the elevator; they accommodated me with a room on the 3rd floor near a stairwell that led straight to the lobby. It was also just down the hall from the fitness center. Very convenient.”
