We stayed here for 3 nights in a mixed dorm. The hostel was clean and the staff were helpful. But we paid a lot for what we got. The location of the hostel was OK too, right near Central Park but a subway journey away from all the main attractions of New York. There were no locks on the shower...

For the price you pay, you get a decent location. Right next to Central Park, less than 5 mins walk to the subway. There's a deli right at the street corner with relatively cheap deals for breakfast. Amenities are fairly basic. WiFi in the common areas only. Lockers in the rooms are small, you'd be able to fit a personal...

The hostel's location is very convenient for touring around NYC. The staff was friendly especially Umar Rajput who does an excellent job in organizing events in and out of the hostel and keeping the atmosphere upbeat.

We stayed at Jazz for 5 nights in November. We often spend our holidays in hostals so we have some experience with hostals in different countries. Unfortunately Jazz Hostal was the worst. We had booked a twin room (2 person) but when we arrived in the evening we were told we have to stay in two different rooms. We complained...
