The Lower East Side is EVERYTHING when you are a young traveler visiting NYC for work or pleasure and the Gatsby Hotel could not be more in the heart of it! I travel to this hotel all the time and finally decided to give it a review. It's in the perfect location, recently renovated and the stuff is very professional...

I booked this hotel last minute to stay over downtown after a music show and got a great price like 100 dollars because it was day of. The location is great and the room was clean modern and hado a street view out the window. Cool clean spot for budget stay near lots of bars etc downtown. My rating reflects...

This hotel is in a great neighborhood that is close to restaurants (Katz's deli is a block and a half away), bars and within a 1/2 mile of Chinatown, Little Italy, the East Village, the Lower East Side, and SoHo's shops. Free WiFi in all the room and the staff is extremely friendly.

I stayed at the Gatsby on a Monday night. I found it on a website and chose it because it appeared to be inexpensive and close to my destination in the East Village of New York City. I was very pleasantly surprised. Check-in was very friendly and quick. The Gatsby turned out to be a boutique hotel, small and low-rise....

The room was underground. The first room that was assigned to me had a gap between the door and the wall: the light was entering from the corridor and the door was not properly closing. Furthermore, it was just in front of the elevator and the noise was unstandable. I was given a different room, however this was probably even...

Dear DanielaDaniQ- Thank you for your review!!! I am disappointed to hear that you were not able to enjoy your stay with us. Room was efficient, small and clean. This is not a grand hotel, but if you are not spending a lot of time in your room it's perfect. Great location. We were in town for a family wedding. We could walk to Chinatown, soho, union sq, the Bowery and the flatiron district. If you drive into town ask the hotel to...

This was my second stay at this hotel. I first found it in 2013, when it was The Gem. And the experience was so good that I came back with my friends. Great price for a excelent basic hotel experience. The room accommodated the 3 of us comfortably. The room and bathroom are new with no carpet (thank goodness!). The...

A friend told me about the Gatsby and since I was looking for a new place to stay, I decided to book in. I had read that some of the rooms are in the basement, so before checking in, I called and asked if I could not be put in a basement room. The clerk who answered was extremely friendly...

The Gatsby is the Best!! Impeccable service – Anthony at the front desk is smart and thoughtful and has a great memory for guests and their requests – the rooms are comfortable, clean, and cozy. The location is ideal for awesome restaurants, cafes, and bars plus shopping, sightseeing, and easy access to the subway. I hesitate to post this great...

I loved our stay for 2 nights! After a rough 10 hr flight from Hawaii we were able to check in at noon. Peter was kind to offer suggestions to kill some time but we were too tired to explore this massive city. We waited in the tiny lobby for an available room and watched as Peter greeted and interacted...
