We booked a room for 4 days in December, 3 month before arrival.
After 13 hours travel from Germany we arrived and the impertinent lady in the desk just meant: „Sorry, your room is broken and there is no ohne left.“

My daughter had a NYC night included in an airfare-this was 2 stars-but unbelievably ragged, unkempt, noisy neighbors, minus a 1 star. One can find a much healthier accomodation. Front desk person, however, was very good.
