This hotel is an easy walk from Penn Station and a two block walk to the subway lines taking you up or downtown. Very comfortable bed and pillows as you would expect from Hyatt. Breakfast does end early at 9:00 M-F and the hotel warns guests of lines in that final hour. If I could change one thing it would...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 15 March 2017 via mobile

I was a guest of the Hyatt Place NY/Midtown hotel for three nights and my experience was first class from beginning to end. I was sent an email from Mr. Weiss a few days prior to my arrival outlining some of the hotel's amenities and locale items. I have only had this type of pre-welcome care a few times. Once...

After a relatively nice visit to this hotel, my partner and I experienced an unpleasant loss as we had to leave in a rush due some personal circumstances. Soon after our departure, we called the hotel to inform them that we had left some clothing along with an expensive pair of Bose Noise Canceling Headphones. After a few days of...

Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Location for visiting Times Square was perfect. Breakfast at hotel was "ok". More options would have been nice. Bedroom pretty tight(for family of 5). Asked for more pillows- staff delivered almost immediately.

Until this morning I really enjoyed this hotel. The facilities are quite nice and centrally located. It's a relatively short walk from Penn station and close to everything in NYC. The staff is quite nice and helpful such that check in was a breeze and offered with a smile. The rooms are also quite nice and a decent size. I...

Accessibility is superb since hotel is in the midtown! Supreme location. Breakfast wasn't that great! Inclusion of more variety is what I would recommend. Mostly it was French food, may be including few continental items would help!

This hotel isn't fancy, but if you are looking for a clean room in an excellent location, it is a great fit. Most importantly, the hotel is quiet, both inside the small hallways as well as minimal street noise. We were here for ten days and found the front desk staff to be exceptionally friendly and welcoming, especially Colleen. A...

They had our reservations mixed up, and we didn't get the room we had booked, but other than that it was a great hotel. The breakfast was very good, beds were comfortable, we loved the location, could walk everywhere, but it is far enough off Broadway to be less crazy busy.

I wasn't entirely sure what to expect when I booked this hotel. I usually stay at other Hyatt options as I generally steer clear of 'budget hotels' in NY. All that said, I would have no hesitation staying here again - clean, friendly staff and surprising nice rooms. While not quite my favorite Hyatt in any, it's probably up there...

Simple, clean room, with comfortable beds and a narrow view of the Empire State Building. Excellent service. Staff were helpful with directions and with bag check. Much better than the Grand Hyatt and less expensive.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
