I stayed four nights at this discreet, understated but luxurious hotel. What I loved most was the location in the heart of the flatiron district. It was perfect for the restaurants, bars and shopping I was after. The room itself was spacious for new York standards and I loved the retro bathtub, vintage decor and bath amenities. The nomad bar... More

A return trip to the NoMad confirmed its place in my mind as the "gold standard" for boutique hotels. The atmosphere and design features are excellent. The Library offers off-the-charts great food, service and atmosphere, and is reserved for hotel guests during busy times for the bar. And, for a business trip, the NoMad's close-to-everything (but in a neighborhood you'll... More

I traveled to NYC for business meetings and decided to stay south of Midtown to be closer to Penn Station. On a previous visit, I stayed at the Ace Hotel which is on W.29th, but decided to try the NoMad which is literally a block down. I made a reservation for a classic room and then, for some reason, forgot... More

This is a boutique hotel at its very finest. The rooms are truly magnificent and whisk you away from the city into another world. For anyone searching for a special romantic break then this is the hotel for them. For me the room wasn't overly practical and I would have preferred some more space instead of the furnishings, some more... More

i loved this hotel. from the hotel lobby, to the elevator, to the dark wood masculine hallways and nooks where you enter you room or suite. the main bathroom is massive, beautiful appointed and a clawfoot tub. a half bath/water closet is convenient when traveling with a guest. nicely appointed and roomy entry way and living area, but the bedroom... I really wanted to like this hotel...but it just misses the mark. Decor? Good but just a smite overdone on the Euro touches..probably great for Americans but a little of a caricature for real Europeans. Lighting? Mood certainly but honestly too dark practically. Housekeeping? Too invasive and clinically too efficient...wash a glass do not remove them all. Personalsation? Nope...in 10... More

I love this hotel. Beautiful interiors, great dining, very comfortable beds with crisp cotton sheets. The rooms are quiet; I have never had an issue with noise. The door and reception staff are also very friendly too. Only slight downside is that room service is always delivered by "too cool for school" young men who struggle to raise a smile.... More

Room was great. Unique decorating style. Comfortable bed, over-sized leather chair with blanket, claw footed bath tub and separate shower, high quality soaps, etc. Hotel sent up a bottle of wine, which was a nice touch. Restaurant downstairs has outstanding food, and a lively bar scene. The bar has a hot dog that is sublime. Wrapped in bacon, truffle infused,... More

We stayed here for a long weekend in the city. The staff was top-notch and we loved the room decor—felt like you were staying in someone's nice apartment in the city. We loved the restaurant downstairs and have been often. The location is good as the theater and restaurants were accessible, only problem is that our corner suite wasn't sound-proofed... More

The NoMad Hotel was great - I was extremely happy with my stay. The hotel was bright, clean and great value for money. The staff were helpful and attentive. The only thing I can fault is based on a personal preference for more light in the breakfast room.

The NoMad Hotel is housed in a turn of the century Beaux-Arts building that has been fully restored to its original grandeur with interiors by French designer Jacques Garcia. The hotel is intended as a fresh take on the classic grand hotels of Europe with a distinct New York sensibility. The design of the hotel was inspired by the Parisian flat of Garcia’s youth. The 168 rooms are residential in feel and decorated in his classic, timeless style. Each room is appointed with hand-selected, richly textured custom-designed furnishings and original artwork. The soaring ceilings throughout the public spaces provide a fine gathering place to enjoy dining, drinking and socializing. ... more   less
