Not one bad thing to say. Great location near Chelsea Market, easy to get to lots of things. Interior was well thought out with the old school ship theme but not kitschy. Surprised to have decent continental breakfast included. Staff was everything you'd want in your stay. I hope to bring my Navy Sailor husband back here one day. He...

Second time here, found it as an option to Gansevoort and Standard in Meatpacking district. While not as cool and hip, this is such a comfortable place and a lot less. Love the lobby sitting area and the rooms are really comfortable. My second time here and there was a bottle of wine waiting for me. Everyone is so nice...

I stayed here overnight for a cruise I was taking at Chelsea Piers. The hotel is in an amazing location. Across from Chelsea Market, near the district of Chelsea with great shops, cafes and galleries and the Meatpacking District. The Whitney Museum is near as well as the fabulous High Line. Room was small, bathroom was very tiny but for...

Just returned from my third stay at the Maritime and decided it was time to write the 5-star review this hotel deserves. It's a sliver of a building — each floor is basically a single hallway with rooms on only one side — with funky round windows reminiscent of portholes on a ship, because ships feature prominently in the building's...

Stayed here on a a Saturday night. Check in was super easy. My husband booked through Expedia, and we had a complementary bottle of red wine waiting for us in the room. The rooms are cozy, view was awesome. We chose this place because of how close it was to Buddakan for dinner and The Tippler for drinks after dinner....

I travel all over, love boutique hotels, and this is #1 for me in NY. Not the fanciest, not the largest rooms, not for a gym, BUT the vibe, location, cleanliness and most importantly the staff crush it. I've done more than 50 nights here, and it's like coming home (only if home were super cool)

Fantastic. A little pricey but nice clean, well appointed room. Great discount on Icon parking across the street (w/validation). Pillows were a little mushy for my taste but I'm sure if I had called the front desk they would have had alternatives. Overall, I would go back to this hotel in heart beat.

If you want to explore the lower midtown area, this hotel is the best place for you. It is located at the center of Chelsea, across is the Chelsea Market. Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
